East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.
She didn't mean to leave the shop so late. As a creature of habit she was astute with her time ensuring that she spent it wisely and correctly. Every day she cut her time up in different halves working with Tetradore in the office, spending time with her mate, helping her witch when needed, and then miscellaneous activities. Each day was different, but the time limit she set herself remained the same. Tonight she had accidentally stayed a bit too late within a bookstore that was completely off the wall, literally. A warlock had created an open door on the side of a wall, hidden by mortal eyes, so that supernatural creatures could freely come in and look for their books without some hopeless human stumbling in. Ever since Henry had entered their fold the she-wolf had been searching for some help books, to get him up to speed about this new world. He was like a young cub. There were so many things he needed to know, to get through this seedy world, and she knew that they wouldn't always be around to help him. There was one subject in particular she was looking for that would benefit him, and herself. Not many books had been written about feral Were Creatures. It was a terrible curse to have, a stigma in their society, how in the humans it would be for AIDS or STDs. Most books she found explained the symptoms and a way to kill them...not help them. Maybe if she found a book she can Henry could work together, with the help of their pack, to help keep them be safe or have a grasp of control. Like always her search led her to nothing, but unlike usual, Raven had miscounted her time. The watch she wore was broken, the hand hadn't moved for two hours.

Within the pack she took on the role as a caregiver of sorts, one task being that she would prepare the meals. An hour ago she should have started on dinner and here she was running down the darkened streets, heading towards the West. Tobias wouldn't be pleased that he would have to wait even longer for dinner, but she was sure Tetradore would fix the problem by having the staff fix them a meal. Nonetheless she still hurried over to the West, because with or without dinner it was her turn to watch over their territory. It was unfortunate that she had been bombarded and attacked by a small pack that had been trying to increase their power. It was a newly formed pack just enough for the territorial scents to not be strong enough for Raven to recognize, or around enough, for Raven to be aware they existed in the first place. These Weres did haunt the Ark and enter the Ring a few times, and some of them she actually recognized. Some of them challenged herself or her mate, while others challenged her mate and her Alpha. Even though she tried to escape she got cornered. Even though she called out to her pack, asking for them to come, she knew they were too far to get here in time. She managed to take the first one down, just by throwing their body up into the air and release them to fall to the ground in a loud smack. Which just promoted everyone else to pounce.

Afraid and greatly upset it seemed to have triggered her feral half to come to her aide. The bear-sized wolf snarled angrily as her jaws snapped, one massive paw swiping to the left to smack an attacker down. It was a terrible long fight. Biting and clawing each other, pouncing and ripping, snarling and growling, the alley was filled with fur and blood. Enraged the she-wolf continued her onslaught. Each time she felt pain the creature retaliated. As the last attacker fell to the ground the feral creature slumped down, breathing heavily. Dark shadows began to curl around her massive form as the beast laid there, attempting to catch her breath. A sudden sound within the alleyway caught the werewolf's attention. Grey-trimmed ears twitched back and forth, blue-grey eyes looking to the shadows, searching for a figure that appeared recognizable. A warning growl was given, but as she attempted to get up a soft whimper was given. It would seem that her right foreleg and shoulder was injured. The feral creature did not wish to give up its power and control, but Raven managed to take control of herself once more. Sitting slanted she raised her dial as the other came forward, tasting the air as it revealed the scent of the approaching creature was a Dark Hunter. Concerned, worried for what could happen, she began to flood the Dark Hunter with images of herself, walking innocently and then being chased by Weres, flashing rapidly forward, to her attacking them, attempting to show she was a victim. The last thing she needed to deal with was a Dark Hunter chasing her down, or be considered a Were to be put down, or endanger the safety of her pack.
