East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

you could rattle the stars.
you could do anything,
if only you dared

She wanted to punch him in the throat.

The way that grin stretched across his lips, how he regarded her as if she were nothing more than a piece of meat, she didn't like it one bit. This piece of 'meat' could kick his ass if she really wanted to, what was hidden beneath that clothing attire was nothing short of toned muscle, her body was that of one who trained on a daily basis as per her job description. That low chuckle that rumbles from his throat has Vhalla narrowing her icy blue eyes at him, her hands tightening on her glass enough to make the tips of her fingers turn white. Perhaps she would throw her drink at him, or maybe... maybe she would just throw the glass at his pretty little face instead. The thought amused her and she almost smiled, until he spoke.

The woman, to say the least, was almost surprised that he knew she was a witch and the fact that he knew should have made her wary, perhaps would make her want to finish this conversation as soon as possible and leave. Unfortunately, tonight, it just made her reckless instead. Rolling her eyes at him, she gestures for another drink, the bartender quickly refilling her glass but just as he starts to leave, Vhal's hand shoots out and grasps the bottle. Her fiery gaze lingering on the bartender until he releases it, allowing her to take the entire bottle.

Content with the outcome, she allows those raging eyes to travel back to the man seated next to her. When he declines her rhetorical question, she gives him a small shrug, "I doubt you could," she sneers at him, raising the glass to her lips and sipping at the cool liquid this time rather than downing it all in one go. If she hadn't been so angry, perhaps she would have noticed how very handsome he really was, or that she was sitting next to a Dark Hunter. Honestly, it was such an absurd situation that even Vhalla couldn't ever imagine herself in.

And when she snarls at him that he was a trashy prick, she's certain she can detect his own temper rising in that dark laughter. She might have pushed him further or perhaps she would have let him leave without further comment until the next statement that is rolling off his tongue has the assassin instantly freezing. All she could see was red as that fury she so kept at bay rose in a wave, blood roaring in her ears as she turns so fast, she knocks the bottle off the counter. The shattering of the glass is nothing but a distant noise as she curls her hand into a fist and launches herself at the man.

Feeling her fist connect with the man's face, she holds back only slightly so as not to break any bones. The stinging sensation is a welcome relief though that rage boils under her skin, her eyes turning that much icier as she regards the man she had just punched, "I dare you to say that again," she growls at him ignoring the bartender who pressed himself against the wall, his face a deathly pale white. Though, the rest of the establishment continues on with business, they draw a few eyes but no one wanted to interfere, at least not yet. That anger so pounded in her ears as she thinks of Ivan, of all the shit he put her, of all the times he sold her off just so he could be in the good graces of one of his friends.

She wouldn't allow some asshole she didn't know make a judgement call on her. Though, she wouldn't admit that she just did the same thing to him. "Oh, did I ruin your pretty face?"
