East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

This fire, it burns inside of me;

We were chasing the thunder inside the storm;

How painfully indifferent he seemed to be, severed entirely to the outside world. A defense mechanism. It had to be and they all had them and seeing him here and now, she was growing more certain of the one that he decided for himself. His little secret that she knew. The man who armoured himself with unshattering indifference was that he capable of caring, if he hadn't why would he have a pack of his own a woman her cherished and protected? Maybe this man didn't have a black hole soul after all.

"So it would." She responded near suspiciously, underlying amused all the same. Her golden eyes viewing his hair that lacked any kind of pigment, it looked strangely soft, far finer than the mane of his horse form. He could have been an albino but he wasn't that translucent pale and his eyes didn't possess the icy blue that normally they possessed. Instead his eyes were a violet hue, a colour she had never seen before on a person. His features were unique and distinguishable. If it wasn't his hair it would be his eyes that made him stand out among the masses. Perhaps, he would have been less intimidating if she didn't know what he was capable of, the discovery of her powers had left her unhinged in a way. There was a power about him that came off of him in waves, a reminder that he wasn't to be trifled with. He was so very controlled, everything about him had seemed that way. The way he could wield his powers, the way he appeared to the outside world.

Mira was quite good at reading him, or so she had thought. It was a natural gift reading other's body language, it spoke louder than words to the woman. When she wasn't leaking some mysterious lava that came from all over a rock uncontrollably, she was far more perceptive, far more in control. Despite that intimidating power that leaked from him, she wasn't going to allow that deter her or put her off of the cookie or her cup of coffee she had grown pretty fond of. She was so used to shitty instant coffee, but coffee was better than no coffee. So far, he kept those powers carefully tucked away. She hoped she could manage the same.

A dry chuckle escapes the man in response to her comment on whinnying.

To her, nothing could beat the sound of a wolf's howl, to her it was such a sad and yet beautifully powerful sound. It told a story, far more than any noise another creature had possessed. As far as she was concerned there wasn't a damn sound a horse made that rivalled the sound of a wolf's howl. But they didn't come here to bicker about the noises their animal selves were capable of speaking. Or were they? He mentioned how ferocious a sound a wolf's whine was. She could not help that laugh escape her, shaking her head. "Incredibly bone chilling. But definitely not suitable for a battle cry. But I can't blame you.. You can't help that your voice is a few octaves higher." She teased. How else could he do such a good job mocking her feminine voice? Alright, maybe she reaching a tad, his human voice hardly sounded feminine unless he willed it to. She shrugged, amusement lingering in her eyes.
He admitted to knowing where the owner hid his sugar cubes. So surely it wasn't a lack of sugar cubes that left him so.. prickly. "So the big bad Frost has friends." She mused out loud, before bringing the hot beverage to her lips, soaking in that much needed caffeine. Since that night she wasn't exactly sleeping well.

One more easy jab left her lips in the form of a tease. He responds easily, feeding into it with slight humour. He wasn't bad when he wasn't threatening her very freedom. "A bad temperament? On more than one, I am shocked. I thought I was lucky to capture a rare glimpse of your award winning personality." Considering all she had heard and now seen, he wasn't exactly considered friendly. The man was conniving and a wild card. She wouldn't dare to humour herself with the notion that she was not in the clear. She still tread in dangerous waters, only she was knowing of the beast that swam in them. She was certain she would rather know what she was up against if the time came, than to be completely oblivious. Knowledge was power.

Then the conversation shifts to business, she had known it was coming. Why else would he dare follow her out that quaint little coffee shop? It certainly wasn't because he wanted to make friends, she wasn't under any illusions that he was the befriending type. How he convinced Negan of her death was quite impressive, but she knew better. She knew better than to believe that Negan wouldn't actually find out the truth somehow and come find her himself. That was not a day she would be looking forward to. But it gave her time to master these strange and powerful new abilities that churned just below the surface of her skin. "What do you mean.. showed him my body?" She asked suspiciously. "How did you manage that, when I am clearly alive and well?" She frowned slightly hoping another hadn't paid for her own sins. She pondered..

It was really no surprise that temperature control wasn't his only gift. She nearly wanted to shudder. She could hardly control one, let alone another or possibly more. Regardless, the words said were just another reminded just how dangerous this man truly was. "What could it be? Hmm.. Powers of persuasion? Hm.. No. You have already used it on me.." Yet the woman was amused by these powers. Teleportation, psychic blasts, temperature control! Just a few she had been exposed to. Whose bright idea was it to give a killing machine with already impressive supernatural abilities, magic on top of everything else? She brought her coffee once more to her lips, drinking in deep, hoping to relish in the warmth. But she was considerably warmer and it didn't bring the same comfort it once did.

Everything had a price, she was well aware Frost didn't work out of the goodness of his own heart. She knew he would be calling in his favour, whatever that was. She didn't like not knowing, being in debt to a man that seemed to make deals only when it benefited him. She still hasn't decided what value he saw in her. The sceptic in her rose to the surface.

But what surprised her was he didn't call in his demand, but asked her a question about Tetradore's pack. She felt that protective urge rise within her, a desire to keep them safe even as Frost goads her. She wouldn't speak of them.. herself on the matter, she could tell him just how much destruction he had inadvertently caused, awakening the monster that dwelled inside of her. A bitter smile. She drew a breath before explaining. "You don't know? After out little introduction. There was a forest fire, a bad one.. Yours truly started it, I nearly took out the whole forest with me. It looks like your cooling abilities work on my only temporary." She wasn't pleased with herself at nearly taking the whole forest and nearly exposing herself to humans and their guns. She wasn't sure if her powers made her invulnerable to guns but she didn't want to exactly test that theory.

I'd rather be dangerous;

MIRA RAMOS
