East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The academic part of the young woman is so entirely delighted by the wealth of potential knowledge before her that she very near forgets entirely not to stare so blatantly at him. It must be a wonderful thing, she thinks, to have such a vast knowledge, to experience so much and yet.....how long would life truly be enjoyable for, is it possible to truly do it all? Did vampires ever get bored with simply living? Her mind readily turns these thoughts over, weighing up the prospect of eternal life and knowledge with the possibility, that perhaps, watching all those you love die, potentially over and over may very well not be....worth it. She has never truly been given to consider such things before, the sudden prospect of this opening a vast wealth of curiosity within her mind- yet one she retains for now. Maybe one day, if she ever saw him again she might be inclined to as him more about it, such things however....seemed terribly personal for a first meeting. She nodded as he spoke, content enough not to press him any further upon the topic of war. He hardly seemed to be carrying any sort of...trauma from it and yet she saw no need to make him relive it for her own personal interest. At least- not today.

Her mention of the nightclub upon the west side seems to illicit a response from the brooding gentleman as he shakes his head, the delicate girl seeming at least mildly more appeased by his words and the knowledge he seemed to have little, if anything to do with that...trashy place. She had hardly ever been within it's darkened halls, such a place holding little interest for a girl whom rarely even drunk let alone danced in such a frivolous manner and yet she had heard about it often enough, passed it on her way. His warning was met with a tight, yet polite smile, the woman willing to heed it and yet surely by now he is aware that she had been fearful to be in the presence of one vampire, let alone willingly travelled into a...a...a...whatever one called a group of vampires. She frowned slightly, disapproving this lack of a pronoun for herself before nodding.

"The VooDoo room seems a little more upmarket at least, nicer, cleaner and don't worry I have no desire to be anywhere near that other place."

She could tell her friends, she was sure- yet they would hardly listen. She was the boring one, the dull one, the one who stayed in at night. She had been to a club....once and had no desire to repeat the experience.

"Clubs really aren't my thing, I've been before but.....it's just a lot of men really, all of them dancing far to close, I really have no idea what they want but I never did appreciate drunken dancing. I do like dancing- but not that type."

She is so very naive in so many ways, oblivious to so many advances from the men around her. Unusual perhaps, given her own Fathers rather colourful history before having met her mother and yet it is perhaps for this reason her parents had been so determined to shelter her- perhaps a little to much. She moves to ask her own question now, his humour seeing her own smile drawn froth for another moment as he leans back within his chair. His hand suddenly being held before her however- sees the woman freeze, hesitation rapidly beginning to take hold. She can see the dare in his gaze, that naturally competitive part of herself more then ready to rise to the challenge and yet.....what if this was merely some ploy to grab her? Then again...he surely would already of done that. Indecision is clear upon her soft features now, green eyes wide with apprehension and yet...she is not so entirely the weak little creature she is often perceived as. Guarded perhaps and yet there is a determination within her still as he fingers extend to press ever so faintly into his palm, a flush hurriedly rushing to cover her cheeks.

"Oh! It...it...isn't cold."

A rather beaming smile seems to overtake her now, this moment surely the most exciting of her life until this point as a soft, feminine laugh parts her lips, fingers pausing a moment to trace along his palm in a daring moment truly bold for the girl.

"Thank you."
