East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

This momentary admittance on the woman's part of her own mistreatment see's the vagabonds eyes lift momentarily to her own in some semblance of understanding and yet, perhaps this is simply all it is, understanding for what he perceives as normal, for what abuses some part of him has come to believe is suffered by most. Perhaps, were he a different creature he may have been inclined to ask how or why such things had occurred to the woman and yet such question are truly rare from the animalistic creature. Despite his curiosity, it would seem, the how and why of the world is really questioned, the man simply accepting what is, a rarely given to attempt any sort of foresight nor be lost within daydreams that simply do not exist for him. He has no concept of time, not truly, lives only and completely within the presence and as such perhaps lacks he capability to offer her anything more then the knowing look he affords in her direction for these few moments. Perhaps she will appreciate him not delving further into her troubled past, perhaps he is simply incapable of perceiving it, or perhaps he understands entirely to well, no further words required between the unusual pair as such information is simply taken and stored within himself in this moment of silence before the conversation is taken towards shoes.

The pleasure within her tone is readily understood by the gangly male, her mention of leather seeing his head tilt ever so slightly in ready contemplation as she speaks, the mention of Azrael once more seeming to gain his attention as it had done previously, the boy association with the name and blonde it belonged to seeing a grin roll loosely upon his features once more.

"Does...Birdie want more....shoes?"

He himself is in possession of no such things, the boy loathing the feeling of footwear upon his feet and yet his delight in destroying any and all shoes, boots, scandals or slippers belong to any and everyone else seems to merit some enjoyment of sorts within this topic. If she likes shoes, then perhaps he may hunt some for her, although why he should desire to bring her anything he simply does not understand. Women are difficult for his mind to comprehend at the best of times. The sudden fear within her at the approach of the waiters sees the boy readily bristling once more, responding entirely to her own mood within this moment, a seemingly in-built response as he does so, his glare rapidly seeing the men hurry off in the moments in which he orders there ice-cream- showing perhaps the barest hint that he may be more capable then he allows others to see. He reaches then to hurriedly begin to consume his food, teeth cracking through bone and sinew in a manner given to assure the majority of the restaurant is given to stare before Birdie finally speaks once more, dark eyes lifting to her own with a scowl before his shoulders roll in what may very well have been a shrug.

"Still...win."

It is little more then a murmur, the man oblivious to her attempts not to laugh at his own cunning within this, though for how long he will even be given to retain the knowledge of his second language can hardly be assured. His ice-cream is consumed with the same sense of purpose as his lunch, the boy left licking his lips in delight as the woman offers her own thanks- this gesture seeming lost upon him as he merely stares blankly at her for several moments before attempting to mimic the small grin she had offered him in turn, as if believing this is somehow the correct response before he suddenly stands.

"We are...leaving now."

Evidently he has tired of this game, his stomach full, his mind no longer caring to entertain the bemused other patrons as he moves to march towards the door, utterly oblivious to there need to pay for the meal they have just consumed as he heads for the door, believing assuredly that Birdie will follow, sure that the woman can be trained to do as such before a member of staff quiet suddenly moves to step in front of the exit, offering the wild-haired boy a pleasant enough smile/ Sir, would you mind heading to that counter to receive your bill. Such words are entirely foreign to the young man as he simply blinks once more, the language lost upon him entirely, understanding only that this man is now between him and the door.

"I do not know....Bill."

His own response, in turn, sees the other man scowl. Lips parting to speak once more and correct him as Tobias' features simply and suddenly contort, shifting his feline teeth a leopard eyes alone, baring these powerful fangs towards the other man whom promptly collapses upon the fall, crashing down into a heap as the boys features return to normal, a snort of disgust leaving his lips as he steps over the fainted waiter and back out onto the street to wait for birdie. He has never played for a meal in his life and he is not about to start now.
