East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The young woman wasn't used to Alexis grabbing her hand out of nowhere. She was far used to the company, but it was the hand touching that simply set her off guard. Tobias hands were calloused and rough and she was used to him grabbing her hand out of the blue. Alexis had not caused her any harm just simply shocked her. She was used to spending time with the woman when she wasn't at work or entertaining her spotted feline friend. Ever since Isolt first came to reside in their home she had hoped the new born vampire would be willing to find company through Alexis and vice versa. That way she knew the two would be getting along, they would get to know one another, and of course heal whatever wound the two had for the lack of trust in others. She herself could hardly attempt to trust another, but she had been trying and so far she had been doing okay with her choices. No one that she knew right now had done anything that would make her think otherwise. As the two began to walk in through the café she would turn her head around noticing how Alexis would duck it down with a sheepish grin. Pink lips would turn upright as she shook her head chuckling softly.

"Steal something again? You should let me join you some time."

Sitting down at the cozy booth in the darker corner the young woman would relax instantly, easily leaning her back into the comfy cushion. The scent of tea and coffee was a pleasing aroma that caused the girl to feel at ease, something she had hardly been able to feel in such a very long time. True her nightmares disappeared when she was sleeping beside Tobi, but even that gave her a small amount of comfort. After all, she was sleeping beside a male that was not pack or mate. In the back of her mind she knew that he could easily arm her if he wanted to. As a loner she was supposed to look out for herself and trust no one. To sleep beside one, so very close, caused the back of her mind to spin out of control. With Alexis around she did not feel the same way. Alexis was not seen as a threat and so the she-wolf felt no need to be worried about the young woman. After they ordered and began to wait her eyes would shift towards the walls decked out with such different assortment of oddities. Though her attention would shift back to the young woman before her. Blue-grey eyes picked up on the subtle signs that the vixen was nervous about something. Puzzled her brows would furrow as she tilted her own head to the side. Her question only brings a smile to the she-wolf's mauled face. Her tone was easy and gentle, not a retort at all, as she nodded her head.

"Yes, I think tonight he'll be stuck at Syn and I don't have first shift tomorrow. We can do whatever you'd like to do the rest of this afternoon and tonight."

Truly she had made sure to give Alexis as much attention as she possibly could. It was getting a little bit easier to do so now that Lucian was still not showing up at work. How could she keep the place afloat if she was doing everything she possibly could, but without any strong support. It wouldn't be long before the bank shut it down and she was left with no simple tasks to do in exchange for money. Though she couldn't help but feel like there was something Alexis wasn't saying. As their warm beverages and Alexis's food was set out before them she would grab her own mug taking a small sip, before her blue-grey eyes bore into the vixens' eyes.

"Alexis...something isn't right...what's wrong?"
