East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

aiden tetradore

It was only with that real bottle in hand that Tetradore assured his 'victory' of sorts over that lesson of illusions, even if such was hardly a skill he had mastered in the slightest. Still, he could hardly deny that he had learned something from the man who had once been his very advisory. Whether or not it proved to be helpful against the skills of his mistress still remained to be seen. After all, most of those illusions were hardly meant to be taken as real so much as they were meant to remind him of those crimes he had committed. Even so, Tetradore appreciated Frost's efforts to assist him all the same. He certainly wasn't one to downplay that endeavor the man had put in for him alone, even if it hadn't quite taken much exertion on Frost's part beyond indulging in those alcoholic drinks Tetradore had provided. The were-King flopped against the hood of that exotic blue sports car with drink in hand, his emerald eyes turned towards the man beside him as that stallion so attempted to further dissert those very illusions, pointing out that difference between the faux Tetradore and the real one. His eyebrows rose ever so slightly at that near diminutive discrepancy, prompting an altogether blunt retort from his lips.

Even despite his own candid assurance that few would notice that detail, Tetradore understood the point to that lecture all the same. He should have noticed when Risque had been little more than an illusion upon his mind. He should have noticed that imperfection, him of all people. A soft breath left his lips. Next time, he would look for that difference. Next time, he would be certain of it. How he intended to do so remained to be seen and yet, Tetradore was steadfast in that determination to see to either her demise, or his own. "I'll remember that." He uttered softly, that promise far more sincere. After all, Frost was right. Sometimes, that little, tiny feeling of control was all they had to hang onto, especially when Risque was so capable of taking his own body away from him. She could control so much of the man - except for his mind and in turn, Tetradore had strove to keep his thoughts and emotions sealed away from her, and the world at large. He could hardly help the way his own thoughts so mused upon that vile woman as that silence settled over them, the man wholly content to simply turn over and over that last counter with her, as if it might offer him some great light on how to escape her clutches.

Tetradore hardly expected that sudden inquiry of his affinities, that question certainly served to refocus the man upon his companion. He knew well why some souls kept those gifts to themselves and yet, now that Frost no longer served as an immediate threat, he saw no reason not to regale the man with exactly what he was capable of. That fear was easy enough and indeed, that power was quite near well known amidst the weres that frequented his establishment. That poison, though the first of his gifts, was hardly used outside of Risque's demands, the sheer potency of it was quite near astounding, even to him. The other abilities were far more well known to the steed, utilized within his fight with the man all those months ago. It was strange to think that nearly a year prior, the two had been squared off against one another on those waterfront docks. How time so had a way of changing things. That question of his venom, however, prompted a small shake of his head. "It slows it immensely. Sometimes, it doesn't heal at all. Tobias has a scar on his neck from it, right here." His fingers rose to that very spot upon his own skin where he had so let that venom drip upon his best friend's form, that mark a reminder of exactly who the boy belonged to and where he stood in that hierarchy. His anger, that night, had gotten the best of him.

Truthfully, Tetradore had hardly considered how 'rare' his gifts were. Most, after all, hadn't developed until after he had left the halls of that dance club. A small shrug crossed his shoulders at that statement that the sheer number of offensive gifts he had was unusual and yet, it was that comment of his teleportation that had caught his attention. He had liked to think that such was a skill he had picked up from his foster father, of sorts, and yet, he had never thought it truly a possibility. "No....not my parents. My father had a venom power of his own...a family friend has teleportation." Frankly, he wasn't sure what to classify Matteo as. The fae Frenchman was one secret he was not willing to admit even to Frost. It was one of the few things he guarded so particularly close to his chest. Maybe Matteo had left his own mark upon him, or maybe that simple desire to escape Risque had been enough to prompt that newfound gift from blossoming within him. Still....it was...curious.

His emerald eyes turned as that final inquiry so left Frost's lips, that one that he knew well would have been coming, eventually. His head shook ever so slightly, "No, that was....something else." A final gift from his mistress - one that turned out to not be so final after all. Though that necklace that hung around his neck was his source of continued life, he had certainly contemplating simply tearing it off and finding his death in another fashion. It had been a grisly consideration and yet, one that had crossed his mind all the same when he discovered her return. Such dismalness, however, he hardly intended to part upon his companion. Frost, he knew, had little patience for his often self-defeating habits. Truthfully, though, Tetradore was almost grateful when that conversation turned away from him and back towards those affinities that Frost himself had.

His eyebrow rose ever so slightly at that admission of that affinity to simply transfer those wounds from himself to another individual. A small frown crossed his features and though he could see the benefit of such a gift, that martyr soul found it near inexcusable to use. Then again, he knew well the pair came from astoundingly different backgrounds, while also being so strikingly similar. His attention, however, turned back towards the man as Frost continued with that vague explanation of that affinity he had but hardly understood, one that Tetradore identified easily. "Yeah, I know about that one. It's like your mind is just....closed off to me. If I can get you to experience genuine fear though, it's like a crack I can weasel in....not easily but..." He shrugged ever so slightly. "I wouldn't be surprised if it stopped other mind related powers from affecting you." It was a curious idea, one that prompted his own consideration. Did Raven's telepathy affect him? What of Nadya's pheromones that had so led to affecting Tobias' judgment? Still....it was hardly his place to inquire, the were-King entirely determined to avoid any sort of topic of his sibling with the man at his side.
