East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

we built this city on broken glass

That soft utterance from the woman that he had been right, about her, about her pack- momentarily saw the stallion's violet eyes glance upward to meet her gaze yet again. Frost hardly having anticipated he might truly be able to puncture that shield of self denial the worn wore like coat. There was something almost satisfying in hearing her so final admit to that veritable truth and yet for now he offered no further comment upon it in any sense. He had proven his point and she had, at last, acknowledged it. The war horse saw little to be achieved from any further from tugging at those metaphorical threads tonight. Besides, he was nearly finished all of those treats. The man hardly inclined to linger long once those snacks had been consumed. That tale on Fenrir, in the least, was well received. Frost unable to deny the surprise he took in the woman's clear intrigue in that tale. It was....rare to find another so engaged with that story, rarer still that they might have the multitude of questions the woman seemed to about the very basis off his own culture and indeed that religion he so rarely shared. After all, few people ever truly understood the depths of those age-old Nordic beliefs, much less appreciated them for what they truly were. Frost content to offer those tales to the curious woman even despite that near wariness that seemed to afflict him, as if he anticipated she only asked such questions for a reason.

That talk soon shifted to those amulets then. Frost affording her what knowledge he knew of them, at least, to an extent. The War Horse near notorious for offering only that information that was directly asked off him rather than seeking to elaborate upon any one component. It was simply within the man's nature to be as such. Frost hardly known for his conversation in any sense. The stallion notoriously quiet and so given to his own inner thoughts on most occasions even despite that perceived nature of indifference he so often presented the world with and that very violence he had become almost infamous for. Raven's query on just what those medallions might do when all four of the major ones were brought together merely earned a soft shake off his head.

"I suspect they do nothing when together. They were designed to be used individually. As for them all appearing now- coincidence, I suspect."

Why something so designed for a specific use in a specific way might interact with those other pieces he hardly knew and yet, while he could see the sense in the womans manner of thinking he suspected there was little true substance behind it. None of those tales ever mentioned the four medallions so being united in any sense nor did Frost truly see any significance in Raven's own belief of their timely appearance. Frost hardly the sort of being to be sold on idle coincidence. Those medallions had little use to Raven as it was beyond use as trinkets in most cases or once their magic had been used up. If the woman wished to believe more of them then let her, it would do little harm. Still, that matter of their deal remained to be settled. Raven, this time, hardly seeming content to argue the matter further. The woman moving straight to that business in a manner he found rather favourable as she contemplated those medallions and which one she might like to keep. The woman declaring she intended to solve them first and see where they led. Frost near assured he knew the answers to both of those things already and yet if she wanted to go running about the world, so be it. Perhaps it might tire out her overly energetic mate a little. His head nodded simply then.

"Fine. When your finished playing with them you have my number. As for the money you can bring it to the South side on Friday at the corner of Baker Street and Mill Road. I'll meet you there. I can finish the story of Fenrir and the other gods for you then- if you want."

It was an...unusual offer. Those violet eyes glancing away from the woman to focus on those sugary treats alone as he finished those few bites. Frost, it seemed, unwilling to acknowledge even his own momentary gesture of...pleasantness. The stallion abruptly moving to rise from that table then. The empty container pushed towards the woman silently. Those final words suddenly biting once more as if that brief flicker of kindness so required a further act of indifference to override it lest she somehow believe him to care in any sense.

"Do not even think about bringing me counterfeit money Raven- or any other trick. I can pry the thought from your mind a mile off and I will be distinctly displeased if you do that. Neither of us enjoy when I am displeased. Have a good afternoon."

-and with that, he was entirely content to shove his hands within his pockets and wander from that cafe.
