East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Now I am unbreakable, it's unmistakable

I didn't mean to cause any more damage to Alexander's café and home. Honest, I swear! It's my fault I know, and because it is my fault, I have to make it up to him...somehow. I don't really want to let him down again. I can hear the frustration in his voice as he gives me some simple orders to correct my wrongdoing. I try to give him an apologetic look, but he doesn't except my remorse. I guess the best thing to do is not say sorry, but do the best that I can do from here on out. I go on ahead and feel out for that power to make the Rhino's eyesight come back, at least just a little bit. I do take away his capability of hearing and smelling though. Alexander didn't say I couldn't take away his sense of smell. I don't think he thought about it. That's not his fault though. I mean he's watching a rhino thrash about and tear into his business, breaking everything in his path. So, you know I get it. It's a sense of pride I bet. Seeing a man have someone invade and destroy their territory is pretty irritating and slightly humiliating I guess. Although I can't help, but wonder. Does he value his café similar to his massive kingdom? I mean it is kind of small, okay a lot smaller than his kingdom from way, way back then. I kind of wish I was in that café right now. I mean it would be warmer than standing out here and the cold pouring rain. Although it might not be so warm with the rhino tossing things about, breaking everything, and letting the howling winds rip through and the rainwater soak everything. Still though, I'd like to be warm right about now. One ear twitched back when I heard him mutter my name softly. Oh good! He doesn't sound too mad right now. Thank God.

Aww, well that's kinda sweet. He's gently brushing me against my neck. I have to admit I feel reassured. Hell, I would feel really really assured if his hand would go slightly to the left, because there is this one spot that...oh my god he is scratching it. Yeeesss. Thank you Sir! Okay he is telling me to stand still, but why? Don't spook? Me, spook? I laugh at the face of danger, hahaha! Why is he telling me this? Turning my head slightly to see him I notice a very long spear in his hand. Oh. Oh wait, he's actually going to throw that thing? Isn't that a bit too primitive? Not saying the man is a caveman, but I mean that's a pretty outdated piece of weapon right there. Doesn't he like have a gun? Aren't guns a better weapon to use? You know how I said I laugh at the face of danger? Well, someone has a sick sense of humor. The man wants to use a spear on a rhino...don't they have thick hides? I am so going to spook. I'm not going to mean to, but damn I sure am. Okay, so I'm not supposed to spook and I'm supposed to make the rhino feel pain on his right side. I think I can manage this. However, the whole idea of charging forward as he charges towards us and make sure I am two feet between him...I am not so sure. I mean what if it is three feet or five feet? Well, I can't really tell the man no, can I? Nope, not really. I have to make up for his café being destroyed. With a soft snort in agreement I point both ears forward towards the Rhino trying to keep my attention on him. Although I really have to shift my weight a little bit as I feel Alexander move about on my back. Yes, this is much better I feel like I can be still and charge forward like this. One ear is pointed towards him as I wait patiently, staying so very...very...still.

I can feel the man shift as I watch him throw his spear straight at the rhino. Oh my God I stayed still! Woo hoo. I did it! This is very good. Focusing on the rhino's nerves I strike him on the right side doing exactly what Alexander commanded me to do. You can see the Rhino thrash his head over in that direction thinking we were there. I keep the pain there still making him think that he really did get hurt there. As he charges forward you can see he starts to lean towards the left to favor that side really beveling that right side of his was injured severely. Keeping thing focus on his nerves to feel pain I propel myself forward to meet his charge. I try to expand that pain on his right side to travel across to his back making him think that his movement was making that pain worse. As I get closer to the rhino I force myself to get closer, at least enough to help make that two feet gap for him. Whatever Alexander has in store for the rhino he better do it fast, because in just a few seconds we're going to be exactly parallel to him. God I hope that rhino doesn't thrash towards us with that horn.
