East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Abigail Hughes

"Almost!" Abigail called as she pulled up the zipper on the corset-like top she wore. She paused just long enough to eye herself in the mirror. Though the green tights she wore hid the majority of her skin, there was no denying the outfit was particularly...clingy to her hourglass frame. The green leather corset hardly showed enough of her butt for any true level of comfort. Her arms were covered with green leather gloves while her hair cascaded down her back in bright red curls. She hadn't the slightest of notions of who the woman she was dressed up as was, but Arlo had insisted the shade of her hair had made it perfect for her - with a touch of curling on Abigail's part. She was, admittedly, rather inquisitive of the spooky holiday the pair were celebrating tonight - from the costumes to the promise of sweets - all of it intrigued the woman. Her hands slowly smoothed down the material of the corset before Abigail nodded in a small glimpse of approval. Peculiar though it was, the outfit was flattering, she supposed, even if she was sure it was showing off far too much of her figure. She turned on her heels, crossing the tile floor to open the door of the bathroom and step, hesitantly, out into her own bedroom.

Abigail paused upon the threshold of her bedroom, eying the vampire that stood in front of her mirror in an almost adoring fashion. The outfit Arlo had chosen for himself was, admittedly, rather fetching on the man. She had always found quite a weakness for those moments in which the man wore that dressier attire. She watched as he fiddled with the top hat upon his head, until the sound of the door creaking behind her so quickly plucked at the man's attention. A small simper crossed her own features, mirroring the unabashed grin on Arlo's own lips. "You think so?" She inquired, turning ever so slightly in place to ensure Arlo saw the entirety of it. Abigail was well aware of his gaze upon her and yet, she was oblivious of the thoughts that so lingered upon his mind. It was the man's sudden inquiry of whether or not she liked it that prompted a contemplative glimpse upon her fair features. Abigail glanced over her shoulder, her fingers lightly picked at the edge of the bodysuit. It was, admittedly, unlike anything she'd ever worn before and this was far different than walking own the hallway of the hotel in her swimsuit. "It's kind of nice, I think. It's not...too much, right?" She inquired, ignorant of exactly the sort of outfits she would surely see tonight that were far more revealing than her own.

That reassuring grin upon his lips, however, caused those concerns to all but melt away as Arlo offered her his arm. She was all too eager to step closer towards him, her hand threading between the man's arm and side as she snuggled against him. She let him lead the way down the stairs and out onto the blustery streets of Sacrosanct - the screams and excitement of children greeting them. Abigail's hazel eyes were but alight with curiosity as she eyed the costumes the children wore as they rushed from one house to the next, begging for candy with their rhythmic rhymes of 'Trick or Treat'. "Can we do that?" She inquired, gesturing lightly towards a group of superheroes that had just run past them and up the nearest walkway towards an equally as spooky house. Fortunately, they hardly had to walk much further before the pair had made it to the bar that was their destination for the night. The bar itself had been transformed equally for the holiday - the city at large so eagerly seemed to embrace the day in a way that Abigail had never quite seen before. It was nothing short of fascinating.

Her hazel eyes swept over the crowd that surrounded them, the woman only briefly noted Isolt and Damon - the couple had, after all, attended Sebastian and Dorian's wedding in Italy earlier in the year. The other faces all but a mystery to her behind their thick makeup and plastic face masks. The woman's fingers tightly threaded within Arlo's own, as if she was afraid she might lose the man in the throng of people that moved around the bustling bar. She was, admittedly, glad to have the safety of the bar at their side before her petite figure leaned into the solid, chilled one of her boyfriend. Abigail's gaze slowly turned upwards, presenting Arlo with a small grin of her own. "There are a lot more people here then I expected." The girl admitted, the woman ha a tendency to be particularly...skittish in crowds when not accompanied by her own boyfriend. "I guess....let's try one of those...smokey drinks." She uttered, eying those martini glasses with shimmery, swirly, purple liquid and dry ice floating off the tops of them. They were absolutely fascinating as far as Abigail was concerned and, admittedly, she was rather certain she had little idea of what half of those people within the bar were even dressed up as, to begin with!
