East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

kissing death and loosing my breath
The young witch could feel his fingertips brushing across her skin, guiding the young girl away from the spot she seemed so transfixed within. A part of her was in awe that only minutes before they had been standing in what was now rubble. Far more of her was astounded by the man's capabilities, even though she would never say a word of that to him. Even as he led her to the street, her grey tinged gaze kept going back to that fallen building, her eyes tracing the destruction as if staring at it would forever burn the image into her mind - and in that moment it really had. She let him open the car door, doing her best to put her perfect composure back in it's place as she slid across the seat. Her gaze briefly brushed across the cab driver, paying him as little of attention as he paid her. Instead, her slate tinged eyes refocused upon the man that settled beside her, even though his attention was quite clearly directed towards the window and the building. She watched him for a moment, listening acutely to every syllable that left his lips and slowly a frown crossed her feminine features. "I sincerely hope not." She told him, Serafina's eyes finally shifting away from the man to stare out the window in an unseeing fashion.

Truthfully, apart of her pride was wounded that she hadn't been able to fulfill her task - it all being ruined by one very important overlooked fact. It hardly helped that he seemed to be thinking of the exact same thing. His words caused her mouth to part, lyrics of indignation rising through her throat but dying upon her sweet heart lips as the girl realized that he wasn't entirely being serious. Her mouth closed, her lips pressing together as he continued, demanding a simple statement from her lips to pardon her transgression. It took a moment for that smile to brighten up her fair feminine features, her head shaking from side to side in an almost amused fashion. This "date" certainly did not go how she had intended it to, much less how she had imagined a first date might go. Still, Serafina could not deny that it hadn't been an exciting evening.

Before she could form a response, however, the Taxi pulled to the side of the road, stopping in front of her destination. Her grey eyes shifted towards the building momentarily, a thought fluttering over her mind. Well. With her date failing to meet her expectation, she might as well ensure the date ended like she imagined it would to some degree - right? Slowly she leaned over the seat as if she intended to offer him the very same thing that he seemed to so want her to admit. However, rather then voicing a single lyric, the girl let her lips momentarily linger on the corner of his before pulling away, offering him one single sentence. "You'll have to work harder to get me to admit that." She offered, providing the man with a wink before, in a spur of activity, the young woman slid out of the cap to disappear into the darkness with memories of his smell and the taste of his skin dancing within her mind.
