East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The tension seems to slough from about her shoulders, ebbing from her as a wave might retreat in momentary reprieve from the stones upon the shore, with his assurance of Chaz's continued welfare. The fledgling bud of her simper only wavers with mention of what else might continue beyond this night... the encroaching gentleman's fervor for one redheaded vampire. "That's a little worrisome. I would much rather he forget all about me," she offers, a soft chortle tickling at her lips as she returns Damon's cunning wink, a gesture that may not have been entirely convincing. A simplistic and wholesome façade of happiness that seems to melt away as warmed butter with the mention of where she might be residing for the approaching daylight hours.

Crystalline eyes turn from her counterpart under the guise of peering down the nearest boulevard, unable and entirely unwilling to inflict upon him the look of anguish, of all-consuming sorrow, that delves its treacherous thorns into every portion of her face. For this past little while Isolt had been the fool to her own clever ruse, had allowed the festering lesions of her waking moments within Syn to be soothed by the honeyed glaze of Damon's distraction. And yet, as she had always known it would, the time for such fallacies was coming to an end, and she must return to the punishment that would surely await her... after all, it always did. Phantom vermin slithered about beneath the cool pallor of her flesh at the thought of what innovative new cruelties her maker might have dreamt up for her, for in this the raven-haired matron was unequivocally unmatched. Dutifully Isolt suppresses the temporarily torment anxiety that has already begun to churn within the depths of her gut, turning to Damon once again and offering him her most skilled imitation of assurance. "I'll be fine."

Slowly she approaches him, this man who has, in a far more momentous way than he might ever realize, saved her. Already the oceanic blue of her eyes burns with renewed fervor, hinting at a life force that only immortality could have offered; a spark taken to waiting kinder. Carefully she wraps her arms about his neck, bringing her body to his in an oddly warming embrace that is surprising given their shared state. Delicate fingers curl into the dark fabric of his shirt as Isolt rests her chin upon his shoulder, truly lamenting that this is where they must finally part ways. So much so that, as the auburn-haired vampire pulls reluctantly from him, the plush cushions of her lips find his cheek in a kiss within which she lingers for perhaps a moment too long before departing from her companion completely. A shy simper pulls coyly, nervously, at her lips as Isolt slowly retreats, seemingly at a loss for what it is she must say.
