East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The man was by far the most interesting person she had ever met, one moment he was growling at her and the next he was softening his tone to assure her. Truly, Miya didn't know what to think, all she knew was that there was a stranger in her apartment, an attractive one at that, who simply refused to leave until she was taken care of. Really, Miya doesn't know what to say as he tries to placate her embarrassment, her chocolate eyes traveling to the ground as she looks away from Oliver, only for that anger to take over once more and for her to threaten him. His response only makes her redder, a combination of anger and embarrassment as she humphs at him, practically sticking her nose in the air as she turns away. It was a childish thing to do and yet, Miya couldn't hardly do anything else, the girl entirely reliant on the man. His comment has Miya glancing at Oliver, her eyes narrowing in on him but she doesn't reply, truly... it was an empty threat. There wasn't anything she could do. This man could pick her up and shake her like a rag doll if he wanted to! He had already carried her up those stairs without exerting any energy.

As she finally concedes and goes with Oliver to the bathroom, she's leaning heavily on him, simply because the room began to spin again. His comment about her mother does manage to bring a weak smile to her lips, her narrow delicate shoulders rising in a shrug, "She was," Miya states, "I... used to be stubborn with her all the time, until I realized she was typically always right. I wish I hadn't argued with her so much," she sighs, "In my defense though, I got my stubbornness from her," she pauses, her chocolate eyes glancing up into his features, "You on the other hand... you are a bossy brute," she says, though there truly isn't any fire behind it, there was even the lightest of teasing notes in her words. She doesn't have much time for anymore jokes, the two in that already small space, hardly any room between them as she begins to undress, Miya's nerves sky rocketing. She couldn't remember a day in her life where she had been so embarrassed! Why, of all people, did she have to take a shower with a stranger? And yet, if she had been thinking clearly, she very well would have suggested a sponge bath, perhaps she had hit her heard too hard.

Still, she wraps her arms around herself, hugging herself as she mumbles under her breath about her body, her pale skin holding the pinkest of hues. The woman was so entirely self conscious, she had thought he was talking about her body, not her wound. This is why they were taking a shower, were they not? His response has her snapping her gaze back up to him, her lips parted ever so slightly in surprise, "Oh, um, no - not really. It's a little numb now but it doesn't really hurt anymore," she responds, her face deepening in color. How could she think he was talking about her body?! As she battles her own in embarrassment, his next statement has her blinking at him in surprise, the obvious guilt that so lingers in his features has Miya feeling bad about the way she had treated him, "No, it's okay. I would've happened either way," she attempts to lighten her voice, a small smile appearing on her lips as if to reassure him. And let's be honest, it would have happened either way, whether it was today or tomorrow; Miya simply didn't have the best of luck with vampires.

She freezes, almost like a deer in headlights when he reaches up to grab a piece of her hair, rolling it through his fingers. Tilting her head back, she stares at him as she blushes, unable to look away from the man. It's almost as time stops for the briefest of moments as she locks eyes with him, the man very gently tucking that particular strand behind her ear. Releasing a breath, she hand't realized she had been holding, she quite literally blurts out at him to undress. His deep chuckle so dances in her ears, the girl wanting to bury her face in her hands again. She wasn't normally so... well, she didn't normally word vomit all over the place. For some reason, in front of this man, she couldn't help but to embarrass herself further, saying exactly what was on her mind. She doesn't have anywhere to go as he draws closer, Miya freezing, and she's certain he's about to touch her but instead, he reaches across her and turns on the shower, his body heat wafting off him deliciously.

Miya realizes the moment he begins to undress and the appropriate thing to do would be to turn around and yet, her eyes are locked onto him. His shirt is removed and she can't help but stare at his defined chest, the girl having not seen muscles like that before. His voice brings her eyes back to his face quickly, as if she had been caught doing something bad, her cheeks reddening by the minute. "I... I'm not beautiful," she mumbles under her breath, looking away. It was the first time someone had called her beautiful besides her mother, her Asian heritage had caused her a whole slew of problems growing up, typically, she had been the center of several jokes and pranks. Still, she pushes the memories away quickly as she admits how embarrassing this was, Oliver only stepping closer to her. His words are lost on her as he reaches out to touch her, to help her in the shower and yet, all she could feel was a burning sensation where he touched, her skin almost feeling sensitive. Her heart rate picks up as she hitches a breath, unsure as to why her body was reacting strangely. Perhaps she was at her limit, Miya simply needed to break down, to cry out the stress and the fear of tonight.

As they step into the shower, the water eases her a bit, the warmth of it relaxing her body, her heart rate beginning to slow, even with Oliver's hands on her. When her chocolate gaze returns to his face, he comments and she releases a small laugh, quiet albeit, "I suppose I can't argue with you there... I should be dead ten times over," she admits. As she launches into a tale of the strange man she had met and helped, it does keep her mind preoccupied and stops her thinking of their quite near brushing bodies. She could almost imagine they weren't half naked in a shower. His response has another small smile curling on her lips as she looks away, her shoulders shrugging lightly, "I did pepper spray this first vampire," she states proudly, "I like to think of myself of... not a damsel in distress?" Her voice ends in a questioning tone before she laughs again, her body relaxing enough to speak freely with him. As he brings his hand up to touch the wound with the cloth, she flinches, though it was hardly in any pain. He notices immediately and withdraws his hand questioning her, "No, no it's fine. I was just surprised is all, I... don't, um I've never really had someone touch me before and it's just... weird," she admits, looking away as her cheeks inflame once more,

Changing the subject quickly, she doesn't intend to make him feel bad and yet, that is guilt that seems to overwhelm him. "No, really it's okay. You don't need to feel bad about it, I'm not your responsibility-," she's caught off guard by the wave of dizziness that has her careening into him, her body sliding against his slick skin. Her apology is brushed off easily as he steadies her, her body very much aware of where his hands are now. Pushing away from him and dropping her hands to her side, her eyes are wide as she makes a comment of the gym. His response has her raising her delicate brows in skepticism, "I seriously doubt that," she huffs, her eyes slowly traveling to his chest, only to note a smear of blood there. She doesn't really realize that it's her blood, perhaps because it was on someone else it tricked her mind? She wasn't sure. Miya isn't thinking as she brings up a delicate hand to his chest, brushing away the blood gingerly, hardly realizing she's quite literally caressing his muscled chest. The whistling kettle brings her back to her senses, her fingers jerking away from him suddenly as she looks up at him, eyes wide with embarrassment. His next question has her lips parting in shock, and yet, she doesn't have a fiery retort as her heart rate picks up again.

Her heart seems to be thundering in her chest as she looks at him, her chocolate eyes lingering on his lips. What was she thinking? She had hit her head far harder than she originally thought! Here she was, in this predicament with a complete stranger, wanting to kiss him! The girl having never kissed anyone in her life and yet, she can't deny she's drawn to this man, perhaps it was simply because he had saved her. Yes, that's what it was. Yet, her eyes narrow a bit as she lingers on his lips, her body involuntarily moving closer to him so that they are brushing. She was never going to see him again, right? Still, her heart races even more quickly and she's certain he can hear it as a wave of desire rolls through her, such a new feeling, one she had never experienced before. Yet, that rolling desire seems to do her in, the exhaustion from her body, her fraying mental health, everything from the day encompasses her all at once as blackness forms around the edge of her vision. The last thing she remembers, is falling into his chest, his warm arms wrapping around her as she blacks out from the world entirely.
