East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The woman rarely, if ever choose to share her story... especially with a complete stranger. Taliah hardly thought she wouldn't see Tetradore again, on the contrary, she fully expected to see him in the future. Still, she blinks at the man's offer, perhaps the only sign of surprise, as she takes a sip of her mug. Chewing the offer over in her mind for a moment, she nods, "I would very much appreciate that," she states softly, knowing better than to grasp at straws of hope. Truly, she didn't expect the man to turn anything up and yet it wouldn't hurt to try. Who knows? Maybe her sister would turn up. Still, the conversation slowly turns away from herself, Taliah hardly wanting to share anymore of her story, she had already told him more than she had anticipated. As the begin to compare the differences of pack life, she can't help but imagine what it would have been like to be raised in the city like this one rather than in the Amazon. The thought didn't sit well with her, there wasn't enough green and it was always cold here it seemed.

It was as if that very thought chilled her, goosebumps raising to her arms as she brings a tanned arm up to rub at the other one gently. No, she wouldn't like it one bit, she barely liked the city as it was. Her emerald eyes focus back on the man as he finishes his tale, the very casualness of his win holding no arrogance. Interesting. He wasn't one to gloat... it was rare to see such a man that spoke of things as is and not adding extra airs to the story. She doesn't respond to his story, the woman hardly finding anything worth saying in that moment. Truly what would she do? Congratulate him? It didn't need a comment and he didn't need a job well done speech either. So, she questions him on where his pack originated, almost surprised that he freely offers that information. Tilting her head at him, she adjusts her fingers around that mug, "It's a strange thing to think of packs in cities," she admits finally, she was from an entirely different world, she couldn't see how they could survive in a metropolis versus the wild. Then again, they were here and have been here for a long time.

She's distracted in her own mind as her foot slips down and brushes against his side, the man seeming entirely disinterested in her apology. Rising, she moves closer to the fireplace, beckoning him over and yet, her offer isn't needed as the power flickers on. Taliah's eyes blink rapidly to adjust to the sudden light, the sound of power beginning to kick back on. Setting her coffee mug on the ground, her gaze is drawn back to Tetradore as he explains he will be on is way after turning off that generator. She gives him a curt nod just as he stands revealing himself in... full. Taliah was hardly embarrassed in any sense, her gaze glancing at his backside for a moment before she averts her eyes out of respect. She supposed, if she were in his position, she wouldn't care to have someone looking at her naked form if it could be helped. They were shifters after all, nudity was simply apart of their life. After he finishes dressing, Taliah finally stands and faces him, emerald eyes lingering on his face as he explains he would gladly take those treats still. Raising her brows slightly, she had all but forgot the abandoned jacket and treats downstairs.

Nodding at him, she leads him through that lit apartment and back into the stairwell. The baked was absurdly happy, though she hardly shows it, to see the lights below. Moving down as quickly as she can in her silly green slippers, she leads him back into the kitchens below, the ovens having kicked on and already heating the small space. "Don't worry about the generator, I'll have one of my assistances move it back in when they get here," she says a bit dismissively. She would figure out how to turn it off, it couldn't be that hard, could it? Making her way to the cooling racks, she's pleased to see that they had all turned out quite well, Taliah quickly grabbing a box and scooping them in. It was more than she had promised him and yet, it was a thank you for his assistance, "Here," she turns and hands him the box, "Don't forget to visit again, I'd be happy to provide you as many treats as you'd like," she says offering a rare, small smile.

Gesturing towards those double doors, she leads him back into the front of the bakery, grabbing his jacket and the rest of his treats before handing them to him. "Thanks again," she states as she moves towards the front door, unlocking it for him to make his exit.
