East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

aiden tetradore

It baffled him, the young woman's sudden insistence upon helping him, particularly considering all she took care of at the Ark at her insistence as it was. He very acknowledgment of all she took on, however, was regarded with little more than a nod of agreement before she sighed in clear discontent. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly in confusion. Did she...not want to do so much at the boat? Because truly, she didn't need to. For a moment, his emerald irises simply stared at the woman blankly, the Alpha entirely unsure of what it was she sought from him. "Raven....I..." Tetradore reached up, his fingers gingerly massaging his temples. "I don't know what you want from me. What do you want to help with? You already do enough around the Ark that I can't possibly think for anything more you could do and I don't know what you want to give me a break from...?" Frankly, her concerns of him leaving or dying were quite an inevitability. They were mortal creatures, after all, and Tetradore's own life walked that very line so close enough that even he did not see a distant future for himself. Even so, the Alpha saw little reason to inform Raven of his own dismal outlooks upon his fate. He had already made arrangements, after all, for her continued future in the event of his permanent death. For now, it was her concern he sought to soothe, though why or what she seemed so insistent upon still escaped him.

His emerald irises shifted briefly as the young woman reached out for his hand, her fingers brushing tentatively against the caramel of his skin. It was a distinctly abnormal gesture for the woman. After all, she so often strove to put whatever distance possible between their physical bodies. Tetradore had always said little of it, however, the man never pushing her or seeking that physical contact with her - not that he was inclined to instigate such in the first place. Even now, the man hardly voiced a syllable of a reaction to the touch of her fingers, his own hand remaining nothing if not stationary, as if he had hardly noticed her touch at all. The last thing that he anticipated was for that conversation to abruptly shift away from himself and towards her own far brighter future with her new husband - particularly their apparent plans for a child. The idea was enough to prompt his brow to rise, the Alpha almost considering for a moment if Tobias truly understood just what he was agreeing to. Still, he supposed that it likely didn't matter. Their relationship was not his to get involved with anymore and she hardly seemed to be seeking his approval. Nevertheless, he offered her good luck with the vague assurance that she would surely make a decent enough mother. That slight simper he was giving, however, was followed instead by the very mention of his 'sibling' - though Tetradore made little indication that he knew the man himself, much less the extent of their relationship.

Admittedly, he hardly seemed attentive as the young women mentioned Dorian's father - those years of so mastering that facade of apathy made any surprise he held at the prospect of Raven meeting Matteo indiscernible. His brow rose ever so slightly at her announcement that Matteo had declared their child would be special. Nevertheless, Raven was quick to continue on, the woman stating that faes were, habitually, mischevious creatures. His shoulder lifted in a vague shrug as the man brought his cup of coffee to his lips. "I wouldn't know," Tetradore responded simply before sipping on his beverage, the emerald hue of his irises turned towards the window. Thankfully, it hardly took much longer before the young woman had finished her cupcake, that small shift from the periphery of his vision drew the Alpha's attention as he rose to follow suit. His nearly empty coffee cup was tossed in the trash as the Alpha made his way back towards the waiting sports car. Tetradore's emerald eyes deviated as Raven sudden suggested that she and Tobias might get a place outside of the city.

His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as she suggested it was meant for a retreat for the pair of them with their child. It was clear Raven was putting far more thought towards this future babe of theirs then he had anticipated. A small glimpse of confusion crossed his features as she insisted the South was too small. How those thousands of acres of forest were too small, he hadn't had the slightest idea. Her elbow nudged into his rib as she grinned effortlessly at him, as if attempting to reassure him that despite their desires to be elsewhere, neither were moving on. Frankly, he had always wanted Tobias to, though he hardly voiced a thought upon such considerations. Rather it was this...house that he addressed, albeit concisely. "I've already taken care of it." That property he'd long ago purchased was hardly meant to be used until needed. He had planned for that secret to persist as long as possible - if only to reduce the number of individuals that knew of it with the hope that it would somehow further safety of the large, luxurious cabin in the woods. Still, perhaps it was finally time to further that emotional distance between Tobias and himself, the boy had been....clingy of late, even if Tetradore himself had almost...encouraged it. A soft sigh of indecision left his lips as he climbed into the vehicle, those thoughts entirely kept to himself as he fastened his own seatbelt. He placed his key into the ignition, the Were-King hardly glancing towards the girl as she suggested he get some rest. That, after all, was certainly something he could agree too. His head bobbed ever so slightly, only for a yawn to cross his lips quite in the same moment. God, bed sounded absolutely fucking amazing.
