East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Harper seemed all for Abigail's Were form, saying she'd give her a run for her money but probably lose. Malia laughed. "Sounds like we've got a contest on our hands. I'll have to call up Abigail some time to put that to the test." Talking to the other Were was easy and they seemed to think the same on a lot of things which was kind of new and refreshing to Malia. She was so used to feeling like the weird one who just didn't "get" some things, but with Harper, she felt like an equal and it felt nice. Harper was also a good listener, sympathizing with her when she mentioned about her adopted parents and the car accident. She, of course, left out all the gruesome details, figuring Harper would get what happened next all on her own. She nodded along, wanting to skip to other subjects anyway.

She looked back up at the girl though when she said that no one showed her how to turn either. She mentioned jumped a fence and almost drowning and Malia gasped. "Wow, sounds about as traumatic as my first shift back to human. Some Hunters shot me with an arrow and tied me up in the back of their van. I panicked so much that I triggered my shift and my best friend, Henry, found me and helped me escape. He was human so you can imagine his shock, opening that van to help what he thought was a helpless coyote and finding a naked girl inside instead." She laughed out loud at the memories from that night. It was a wild night, but she didn't regret it.

Harper got all excited when she admitted she was a moocher too and she couldn't help but throw her own arm up in united celebration. "Yes!" She yelled along with her, not caring who stared at them. Harper admitted she was an expert and Malia couldn't help but smirk. Guess she had made the perfect friend tonight! She couldn't wait to tell Frost and Nadya about her. Surely they'd want her to join the pack with all her skills!

She told the girl about all the different stuff to do around Sacrosanct and smiled knowingly when she said they'd eaten too much to go clubbing. Her head nodded solemnly in agreement, even as she stared at the last few fries in earnestness, knowing she was going to eat them on the way out even though she didn't need them. When she mentioned the arcade though, Harper got super excited, leaning over to say they had to go there and Malia couldn't help but squeal a little in excitement. "You got it!" It was her absolute favorite place to be most nights so she was all too happy to bring Harper. Someone to play with! Her day was just getting better and better. When she asked about the cars, Harper only stared at her for a minute and she was just about to ask if she'd said something wrong when the other girl called her a bunch of flowery stuff and said she was too pure for this world.

She'd never been told that before. Her head tilted as she raised a brow in question and she was just about to disagree about Harper removing herself, since she wanted nothing of the sort from this perfect mirror personality of herself that had suddenly dropped into her life, when she said she was selfish and they had to go to the arcade. Giggling, Malia all but leapt to her feet, leaning over to grab those last two fries and stuff them in her mouth before she led the way to the door and back out onto the sidewalk, already eager to get going. "There's like three zombie games so you can definitely kick butt there. And an alien game and some car racing games. There's a lot of different stuff there. I usually can't find someone to go with so this is perfect!"
