East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The ancient King hadn't quite realized just how much he had betrayed of his own thoughts when he defaulted to almost polite silence. That slight, attentive tilt to Alexis head was followed with an almost coy simper before she insisted movies were clearly not the best source when it came to the creatures that Alexander was so known for loving. A soft snort left Alexander's nose at the very emphasis of the word 'trainer'. This was hardly an accurate portrayal of the Macedonian Monarch's training sessions in the least - the warlord so rarely accepting anything short of utter perfection. "I promise, you wouldn't like me as an actual trainer." He commented, glancing over at her with a raised brow. He listened, nevertheless, as she spoke of that one movie in particular that had garnered her adoration - the title one he knew of by name and trailers only. His admittance of it prompted a soft gasp upon the young girl's lips as she stared at him in shock. The very idea of a movie night was hardly unpleasant really, Alexander entirely curious of what sort of movies she thought he'd apparently been missing within his life. "I look forward to it." He muttered softly, simply watching her as Alexis' hand gingerly caressed the mare beneath her.

Alexander was oblivious to the look that had momentarily crossed the young woman's features, his own gaze settled upon the path ahead of them as he gestured loosely towards pathway that looped around the lake. That soft sigh upon Alexis' lips drew the oceanic hue of his gaze before she gingerly teased him of a curfew, of all things! At the very least, he was glad she seemed in such a good mood for a tease, even if it made him feel as ancient as he surely was! His head bobbed in ready agreement as the pair continued along the path, the sun setting beside them, casting a myriad of colors upon the sky and lake alike.

It was nearly half an hour later that the couple found themselves again before the looming barn, Alexander easily leading the pair inside before the Greek Monarch slid off his horse, his fingers already deftly working at the strappings to the saddle as he inquired if she had enjoyed the short ride. A smile blossomed across her features as Alexis assured him it was 'kind of' fun, for her first ride, it was the best Alexander could hope for. "I'm glad." He responded as he led his stallion back towards it's stall. "There will be many more of these nights ahead of us," The Dark Hunter called over his shoulder. The Monarch returned to Alexis side after seeing to his own horse, only to reach up and help her off the equines back. It was endearing, really, the way she seemed to be so...affectionate to the animal as he saw to undo the mare's tack. Alexander waited patiently as she pressed her lips gently against the horse's muzzle, thanking her for the ride. He led the mare back towards her own designated stall, finishing up putting her away before Alexis' voice drew the blue-green hue of his gaze. "Of course, Alexis." He answered with a warm smile, only to step away from the two equines once he was satisfied. "Come on, I'll drop you off at the Ark, okay? There's no sense in you walking home from the cafe this late at night." The very last thing he wanted, after all, was for any harm to befall upon the young girl when her very first date had come to a successful end.
