East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
Okay so...maybe he was...kind of....sort of right. Her kind had a tendency not to take on something as big and scary as Mr. Lulu. They weren't even in the same ecosystem! And she was pretty sure that Mr. Lulu could swallow her whole. Okay, maybe not whole. But very very easily. Her thoughtfulness on the subject, however, was interrupted by his inquiry on whether or not she had claws! "OF COURSE I HAVE CLAWS!" Abigail insisted, perhaps a bit too loudly and maybe just a bit too insistent as her fingers curled in mock claws, clearly proving to him her claw status. "How else do we climb trees?!?! You can't climb a tree without some kind of claw!" DUH. They were pretty sharp claws too! She could cut things with them! Those claws, however, were hardly enough to distract the purposeful little panda-girl from the thousand other questions upon her mind. Like the fire, of course! How COOL was that fire?! AND Mr. Lulu! Those inquiries that fell with such rapid fire from her lips, however, were interrupted by an invitation Abigail most definitely didn't expect.

A drink? A drink sounded nice. She was kind of thirsty, now that she thought of it. Besides, then he might be better inclined to answer her questions! He was probably thirsty too with all that fire and heat! Abigail was all too quick to accept that offer, oblivious to exactlyyyy what 'a drink' entailed. Or what it implied. After all, what more could a drink imply?! She drank all the time! All that water and orange juice and apple juice - which was her favorite - and sometimes a little bit of milk even! How easily the girl fell into step with her companion, albeit with a slight hint of a giddy hop in each pace. She hadn't even considered those social niceties she should have already gone through until he had asked, primarily her name! The very mention of it only caused her gaze to widen as she realized all the things she had skipped! Oh, how her parents would have scolded her for focusing on her questions before her own name! How often had they chastised her for it already in the past and still she found herself making the same mistake! How quick she was to introduce herself as her hand fit smoothly into his larger one in a brief, energetically firm shake. Yeah! Look at that handshake! She was being a grown up now!

Their walk to drink place, or at least where she hoped was the drink place because she had no idea where she was going, was hardly silent. Quite on the contrary, Abigail was eager to continue her persistent wealth of queries from the man, even if he quashed her every hope and dream with his admittance that the fire had hardly come from her. She was...woefully...doomed not to be the firefox her species was so...ridiculously called. Even if it was absolutely the coolest idea she'd ever thought for herself. How visible her disappointment was! Her shoulders dropped ever so slightly, her lips pressed together in a girlish pout even as the corners pulled downward in a small frown. Her sadness, however, prompted a soft chuckle from the man at her side as he promised to make a firefox. Just for her! "Oh! REALLY?! WILL YOU REALLY?!" She inquired, nearly jumping in front of him as her hands folded together in a wholly beseeching way. "You gotta make a super cool one though, okay?!" Abigail was hardly inclined to stay still as she bounced back on her heels, her arms gesturing with her every word. "It's gotta like...hop! And pounce!" Her head bobbed super duper sagely. After all, that was exactly what firefoxes did. They wiggled their little tail and BOOSH! An unexpected pounce! And then woosh! Off they ran to skitter up trees and and...well, now she was getting off topic. After all, there was still the matter of what he was to be able to create something nearly as cool as Mr. Lulu.

His insistence that he was a warlock was altogether fascinating. After all, Abigail hadn't met any warlock before. Or maybe she had and simply hadn't known that was what they were? Was that how things worked? Maybe Warlocks didn't like to say what they were? Was she not supposed to say what she was too? Oops. It was a little too late for that, though Sly didn't seem terribly bothered telling her what he was either so maybe there was nothing to worry about! Her forward curiosity, however, was never ending, as Abigail inquired if he did other things besides the super cool animals - though really Mr. Lulu was cool enough as it was that she didn't really think he needed to do anything else. Still...come to think of it. Abigail herself had quite a few powers that she did nothing with either. Huh! Her very utterance of that thought seemed to capture his attention too as he inquired after her abilities being SUPER scary. The idea of it made her giggle before her head shook, causing her auburn locks to shift with the motion. "Noooooo! They're just....not very...useful...I guess." Her head tilted to the side in thought before her gaze turned back towards him. "Wanna see?" After all, it was only fair. He had shown her his power, and told her ALL about his fire creatures. The least she could do was return the favor....right?! RIGHT!

Her display of her affinities, however, were momentarily put aside in favor of those queries upon Abigail's lips of DRAGONS. She supposed her first question of what was a dragon wasn't exactly correct. She knew what a dragon was....sort of. But her dragons definitely hadn't looked like that weirdo THING he had made. How keen she was to tell him that his dragon was wrong - her finger lifted in the air as she traced the outline of what a dragon SHOULD look like....the correct way. Her efforts, however, seemed to cause his features to light up in sudden understanding - only to declare her dragon was an 'EASTERN' one. Whhhhaaaatttt? How quickly those animated features turned into an all out blank stare. "....your...dragon has...TEN HEADS?" She inquired in amazement. "Can you make one of those?! I want to see one!" She couldn't even FATHOM a dragon with TEN HEADS. What did that even look like?! Her dragon, she was sure, was still the best but...maybe a ten headed snakey snake could be pretty cool...and really deadly now that she thought about it.

Abigail followed her newfound friend to a bar height table outside, one she was quick to jump up on the stool of, her feet dangling and swaying almost childishly. It was his inquiry of her 'poison' however, that prompted a hint of baffled contemplation on her face. Poison, after all, did NOT sound delicious. But! She knew exactly what did! APPLE JUICE. Her head shook as he inquired after apple cider (which frankly she had no idea what that was...though it had apples in it so it had to be good right?), "Yup! Apple Juice!" He nodded his head in an almost bemused way before heading inside into all the chaos and the noise and.....the scariness! Her gaze drifted over the few other tables outside with a vague sort of curiosity, merely observing, as Abigail did best, the groups of friends and couples that loudly laughed as they drank their apple-juice colored drinks. It hardly took long before her companion was returning to her with her desired beverage - the very sight of it made her beam in glee! "Eeee! Thank you!!!" She practically squealed as she reached for her drink, taking the cold glass between her hands. She had only just managed a sip or two as Sly settled in his own spot before he inquired if she always ordered apple juice at bars. Her head tilted to the side before shaking ever so slightly. "Umm....I don't go to bars...so...no? Are you not supposed to order apple juice at bars?" She inquired, wholly oblivious that there was some sort of social..drinking...etiquette. At least she knew what a bar was! Sort of. She knew they were a place the adults back home liked to go to drink adult drinks - though few of the locals visited the hotel's bar (being the only bar in town). Her own father ventured there only a handful of times. Sometimes on dates...with her mom...of course. Duh.

Her internal thoughts, however, were interrupted by a query that was far far easiest to answer. Actually, she was pretty certain it was the easiest one yet. "Nepal." She answered easily enough, still kicking her feet slightly in the air under the barstool while she brought her apple juice to her lips again. Yup. She was right. It was a delicious choice.
