East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

when I walk into the room there's nothing you can do
To stop me from making moves
I'm coming for you

A soft breath left the Dark Hunter's lips as he finally settled into the plush armchair near the large tinted front window of the cafe. The dim lighting overhead provoked a distinctly cozy feeling within Alexander's look nook, one he was keen to take advantage of as he cupped the warm beverage within his hands, savoring the heat of it. The Sanctum was quiet tonight, it's patrons consisting of a young woman writing away at her thesis (a topic she had briefly discussed with the man), and a date that looked to be going well considering the hushed ceaseless conversation between the couple. His regular baristas left for the night, leaving the ancient Monarch watching over his store until he decided to close it for the night. The oceanic hue of his gaze turned towards the window as he silently watched the awakening night traffic outside, the man sipping on the dark chocolatey substance within the oversized mug in his hands. A soft sound of consideration left his lips as he glanced down at it with a hint of surprise. The tequila and cinnamon mixed with the rich hot chocolate far better than he had expected. His son would enjoy this drink...though Alexander was inclined to keep it to himself, at least for tonight.

His thoughts, however, were interrupted by the soft ding-a-ling of the bell hanging over the front door of the cafe. Alexander glanced over his shoulder towards the man walking into the store. His face was one the Hunter remembered from the few times he'd been here before. He was a relatively new patron and yet, he'd already seemed to have found his favorites. Still, he was certain the fellow hadn't visited the cafe before this late at night. People so rarely varied from their set schedules. Another sigh left the King's lips as Alexander placed his hot chocolate down on the side table next to his chair, only to rise to his feet. His shoes echoed softly against the concrete floor as Alexander moved around the bar and towards the register. "All we have left today are the blackberry danishes." He commented, his flawless memory easily connected the man to his preferred pastry type, though blackberry wasn't yet one he remembered the man choosing before. His intense gaze turned almost expectantly towards the man in front of him as he inquired, "What can I get you to drink?"
