East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

death incarnate & night triumphant

The rapid beating of her heart is like music to his ears as he approaches the woman, how easy it was to tease her, simply by crowding into her space. It was endearing, watching her try and calm herself, it was perhaps one of his favorite things to do. Even as he hands her the mug, their fingers brushing briefly, he has a difficult time stepping aside to let her pass. He waits a moment before following her back into the kitchen, resuming his relaxed position against the counter, fingers lightly holding the mug. He can feel the conflicting emotions radiating off her, though he hardly needed to use that power, all the telltale signs were written all over her face. Bringing that mug up to his lips to hide the growing smile, she makes a quip about him being chipper. Eyes darting to Lani's face, that lazy smile still contorting his lips, only for her to tack on mentioning she didn't know he was a morning person. "I wouldn't say I'm a morning person or a night owl," he muses, taking pity on her for the briefest of moments, lowering his mug to the counter.

"Lani darling, you're welcome to reach out anytime you want an escort, I don't mind being a piece of jewelry for you," he winks, unable to help himself. "You're welcome, by the way," he parrots her words back to the woman, before folding his arms over his bare chest. He's entirely aware at the genuine gratitude in Lani's voice, something he would take out an inspect later, the warmth in her voice... it did things to the male, how much he wanted to keep the warmth in her voice for a millennia to come, if she let him. It's only a moment longer before Andras is sharing that initial memory, the man entirely focused on Lani's face as he projects the scene into her mind. Cheeks flushing and the utter dismay and astonishment dancing across her features almost has him laughing, he can very nearly picture the inner shouted words at herself, but he refrains from letting that chuckle escape. There was so much mortification in Lani, he didn't want to overdue it, even though he was enjoying this teasing banter.

She's utterly distracted by that memory, unable to obtain speech as he continues, telling her what she did last night and then showing her. This time, her flustered cheeks take on a deeper red, Andras simultaneously watching the memory and Lani's body language, he can't help the growing pool of desire that floods his gut in that moment. And as he ends the memory, just how Lani gazes at his lips for a moment longer. If she hadn't immediately murmured she needed to go, he would have been crossing that thresh hold and showing her right now exactly what they did last night. Instead, he doesn't push his luck, stepping out of her way as she very nearly races for the door.

He doesn't move, his body still leaning against the counter, arms still folded over his chest as his gaze watches her dart from the room. She pauses, only for a moment to thank him, Andras unable to repress the wicked grin that darts across his lips and even as she exits the townhouse, he establishes that mind to mind connection once more, putting every ounce of desire into his deep tenors "I look forward to seeing you again," he mentally tells her, his voice very nearly a growl as it chases her out the door. It's only then that he releases a deep seated sigh before pushing off the counter and heading for the shower, for the third time in less than 12 hours.
