East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I will

rise up

in spite of the ache

Henry knew he probably shouldn't have healed the total stranger, but he couldn't help it. Despite what others might think of him, Henry did have a helping heart. He wanted to make sure everyone was okay. So naturally, that meant healing the man's busted face. He might regret being so open about it later, but in the moment, it seemed like the right thing to do.

Clearly Alexis was shocked at the boldness he undertook because she asked in disbelief if he could hear others too. He nodded softly. "Yeah..." He wasn't sure what he needed to elaborate on. He didn't keep his abilities a secret, but then again, he never really advertised it. He probably should tell his pack that he HAD that ability in case they needed it. But then again, his pack hadn't been too thrilled with him. The last thing he needed was for them to think he was sucking up to them. That was not the case at all. He didn't grovel and shit.

She was explaining that she wasn't hurt and that she was protecting herself as he was looking at the gathered crowd. Despite the rain, there were quite a few people gather to watch them. "We should get going before the cops show up. I doubt they will believe your shield or my ability to heal." Or hell, maybe they WOULD believe them and then Henry would end up on some bounty hunter's list so his ability to be used against his will. None it was pleasant to think about.

He extended his hand to her and waited a moment before he began to walk towards the woods at the end of the street. At least there they could get lost in the woods or shift undetected. The woods offered them a lot more cover than the openness of the intersection.

I will rise a thousand times again
