East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

"A Z R A.....Yes Z....like Zebra, Z, are you actually listening to me you insipid women or are you just asking these pointless questions because you have nothing better to do then waste my time?!"

It was almost as if he was arguing with a goddamn wall, trying to speak to anyone within the council that actually held any authority, much less actually had any information was akin to attempting to draw blood from a stone. Getting past the receptionist, today, seeming to be his latest challenge. The woman had only worked their for nearly forty years, Azrael having spoken to her every other day for nearly that long and yet each time she seemed determined to make him prove his identity. It was hardly as if his name was common and yet she forever seemed incapable of locating his file much less finding his targets for the week- their twice weekly conversations very near pushing the golden-haired man to the end of his remarkably short fuse. One hand lifted, running his fingers threw his hair in exasperation, tousled white gold strands tumbling back into his eyes as he lent further back into his chair within the far corner of Alexanders coffee house, the vast majority of patrons seeming to have fled to the other side of the room, the aura surrounding him evidently warning those intelligent enough to keep outside of his personal space, the Hunter already on edge within such a place. How Alexander could willingly serve these foul creatures he hardly knew, he was nothing short of a disgrace to the Hunter breed as far as Azrael was concerned and yet even he was willing to admit that the mans coffee was begrudgingly...pleasant. Why the other Hunter did not at least attempt to pick off the occasional patron however he hardly knew and today perhaps, he hardly cared, provided not a single one of them dared to encroach upon his space. A sigh of exasperation drawn once more from his lips, words very near hissed through his teeth now and into the phone.

"No I do not know my membership number, I don't think we even have membership numbers, I...oh fuck it."

The sound of that ridiculously cheery Christmas themed music sounding as he was once more put on hold for his 'threatening tone' saw the tall blonde merely hang up, tossing the phone on to the table before him in defeat before reaching for what remained of his coffee, feet lifted up and onto the empty chair opposite him, ignoring Alexanders pointed look in regards to feet on the furniture. The man allowed dogs and all manner of other animals to touch his furniture with their unholy paws, if anything the man should be honoured to have someone not a creature of hell resting his feet. The fingers of his free hand simply moved to tap against the wooden table, Azrael forever given to...fidget when he was inactive. He had never had such a habit within his human years, his desire for motion seeming to have been borne from his unwilling change into the thing he had become, as if he was doomed to forever being plagued with an energy he can never satisfy fully, as if the Hunters instinct within himself is simply incapable of remaining quiet when surrounded by such prey and yet he was....willing enough to at least attempt to respect Alexanders rules and refrain from murdering anyone within the vicinity of the coffee house. A task proving far easier said than done with so many creatures at his disposal, mind mentally recalling the location of every knife and weapon upon his form, each concealed beneath his jeans and loose, sleeveless hoody that allowed his arms the motion they so required to dispose of victim after victim.

The sudden buzzing of his phone saw the man momentarily draw his eyes away from the line of patrons before him, amber golden gaze resting briefly on one particular woman- a witch and yet her.....begrudgingly pretty features seemed only reminiscent of someone he knew, a recognition he simply could not place in this moment and yet one that tugged at his mind all the same. The images that flashed upon the screen of his phone however, rapidly drew his attention away from the dark brunette witch with the blue eyes that seemed so very familiar, a smirk of sorts tracing his ever youthful features at the images that lingered upon his screen. This week's targets. One women was entirely unknown to him, a vampire the likes of whom would take several days to gather information upon, the second could hardly be more then a child, a female fae he knew frequented the park and would be easy to hunt down, the third image however, blurry and unfocused as it was, saw a soft snort released. He had known this individual would show up sooner or later, after all, it was only a matter of time, surely, someone like this hardly stayed hidden for long and yet....he had proven almost excessively difficult to catch. The smart ones always were, let alone the ones with power to the level this target had be known to display. A challenge however, was readily welcomed enough. A Were animal this large surely cannot be that hard to track.

He moves to easily push back from the table, rolling smoothly onto his feet, phone tucking back into his pocket as he heads for the door, a number of patrons scampering to get out of his way, the mans exit from the establishment halted only by the blue-eyed witch once more seemed to draw his attention, the man halted beside her table now, making no move to hide his observation of her until her gaze met his own.

"You seem very familiar-"

His words are suddenly cut off by the voice of another, some Were with utterly ridiculous hair seeming to decide to blurt out her offering of a jacket to the witch in question, amber gold eyes slicing towards her almost immediately. Were's after all, were by far the most despicable of them all. Vile, unholy creatures.

"Maybe she is loath to smell like a wet dog."

Why he is bothering to...defend a witch, of all things, remains to be seen, his weakness for Sera perhaps having afflicted his judgement for them and yet in this moment he chooses only to focus upon the Were, forcing his arms to remain folded despite the violent thoughts that litter his mind. A skinny, weak looking creature, how very easy a target she would make- in fact, perhaps that makes her the ideal target for the very sort of creature whom history has shown prays upon such women. He moves to lean against the witch's table, seemingly unconcerned by her closeness, eyes meeting the pleasant enough blue of her own once more, evidently far more offended by the Were as he simply eyes her in turn and yet with far more...disdain.

"You wouldn't happen to know anyone by the name of Frostbite now would you?"

He merely waits, eyes remaining upon the Were, waiting for even the barest hint of recognition upon her features and yet unable to prevent his gaze from slipping, if only briefly, back to the witch beside him- he is sure he knows her.....
