East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

kissing death and loosing my breath
In truth, Serafina found that her relationship with Raven was taxing at best. Although she appreciated getting out of spots of trouble, the girl despised the strings that came attached to it. It was this reason that she tended to avoid any prolonged time with the woman. What she hadn't expected, however, was for the lupine to actually attempt to confide in her. In fact, why anyone would want to confide in her was quite the mystery. It wasn't as if Serafina gave off an air of interest in other's lives, if only because, quite frankly, she wasn't. The girl kept to herself in all aspects of her world, rarely letting others in and even when she did so it was with measured restraint. There was a soft sigh to leave her lips as Raven began to speak and already she regretted commanding the wolf to "spit it out". She wasn't sure if moping or being told about this "family" of Raven's was worse at the present moment. Regardless of her distaste for the current situation she found herself in, Serafina did actually make the effort to listen to the wolf, even if it was accompanied with a rolling of the eye and shaking of the head at several distinct parts in her tale. It wasn't until the entire thing was over that the girl felt fit to speak, hardly even hesitating before her thoughts on the matter came tumbling from her sweet heart lips.

"Look Raven, this girl isn't a threat to you if you boyfriend truly wasn't interested in her and it really was her uncontrolled power. If he want's children then every woman's a threat to you and really at that point fretting is fucking ridiculous. Who is really a threat here is your asshole of a boyfriend because you can't trust him around women. So...get a new boyfriend or teach him a lesson on how to behave and how what he did betrayed you....hell even then I'd dump him. I mean for Christ sakes you hate Davante and Azrael and neither of them committed themselves to me and then fucked another woman. You're so hypocritical." She was going off on a tangent at this point, her anger clearly getting the best of her but before she let it get too out of hand, the female reigned her anger back in, quickly delving into the next topic. "As for your feral nonsense, you're a wolf Raven. Every were has a bit of their natural feral-ness in them. Some have it more then others. Wolves naturally have strong protective instincts. If they accept you in their pack you're more likely to go feral and fight for them rather then slaughter them all. Use you're brain. Learn about your species." She paused to thump the wolf upon her head. It was animal's 101 as far as Serafina was concerned. A mother never killed her cubs, a wolf never struck at their mate, and they were "feral" every hour of the day.

She turned, clearly having her say on the matter before stepping into the back room of her shop before she heard the press of Raven's mind yet again. "If you didn't feel the need to insult me, rag on me, and berate those I choose to spend my time with, maybe I'd like to have you around more often." She responded, calling over her shoulder as she began to dump things in the cauldron in front of her. Serafina never felt the desire to confide in the female regarding her feelings towards the two men in her life, just as she never felt inclined to tell her about her on going relationship with them. It was moot because she knew that no matter what she said, no matter what good qualities either had, Raven would merely push them away and tell her how horrible they all were. Her head shook ever so slightly, "How hard is it to have someone supportive around here. If I wanted more of this bullshit I would have stayed with him." She muttered to herself, her thoughts drifting back towards her mentor's equally as controlling and berating abilities. Funny that she should rid herself of one only to have another take his place. Just her fucking luck.
