East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The stars in their orbits

and the stars in their orbits shone pale through the lightof the brighter, colder moon

While other employers interviewing potential employees would have papers and pre-prepared questions, Nadya was clearly empty-handed and went with the flow of an informal interview. Afterall, seeing as much of her employees (in the scantily or half naked state) that came with her position just didn't follow the common place so why would her interview process be the same. She wanted to see if there was a natural ease between herself and the potential employee along with how they acted in the environment. That sort of thing couldn't be measured on paper. Nadya cross one leg over the other as she listened easily to Lyrica explain her past experience in the less than socially acceptable workforce. "Well," That easy smile tilted in a slight smirk hoping that Lyrica wouldn't take offense. "We've actually done very well having fairies as the dancers. Something about that extra aurora appeals up on stage. Since you said you have experience with dancing then I'd like to see how you do in the line-up."

It wasn't hard to see beneath the professional exterior that there was more to this girl. There was a certain darkness to her eyes that reminded Nadya of her brother, something that was far too deep to understand but could also be manipulated with a little glitter and cleavage to be very alluring. If Lyrica could handle being on stage without having a PTSD-like attack and kill any of the patrons then Nadya was sure she'd fit in just about anywhere. It would also be nice to have someone who could drift between positions as necessary in case of an employee shortage. "I do ask that abilities within the building remain...restricted. It's a basic rule for everyone who enters. I don't want any of the customers to accuse one of the employees of manipulation or an employee accusing a customer of anything either." Her brother's business was all about exercising the use of abilities which made her place a sort of sanctuary for her, being in a normal environment for as much normal as a burlesque could be called.

With a soft sigh Nadya leaned back in the chair, glancing down at the table as her fingernails rapped lightly at the wood. "You could say my brother and I are entrepreneurs of sorts but we differ greatly on what we believe is entertainment. Sacro is filled with clubs and bars but nothing of...refinement. You could go anywhere to see a woman take off her clothes but to have that same excitement in the skill of a dancer without waltzing around naked is what I wanted to bring. Establishments tend to be species based in the city and I hope since dance is such a universal entertainment that it may bring together people who may have never met otherwise." A wrinkled look which had overtaken her features at trying to put her feelings into words quickly faded as Nadya just as quickly returned to her upbeat self, pushing aside that part of herself which didn't belong in an interview. "Where else can I mix fashion and glitter and music?" Nadya let out an airy laugh with another shrug. "Would you be willing to start tomorrow night?"
