East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

My Own Form Of CHAOS

Isolt's modesty has always been something both intriguing and frustrating to me most of the time. I hate the way she doubts herself every time I make a comment about her beauty or when someone else looks at me like she deserves. And at the same time I love it when her cheeks turn rosy and she ducks her head and bites her bottom lip sheepishly. It's a mixture of adorable and downright sexy every time. Every time I look at her, I know she usually pulls away, some part of her doubting that I could ever feel anything for her and yet today I notice a change in her posture. Maybe it's the position of power I've put her in, making her a manager over a business or maybe it's just the time we've spent together and the times over and over again I've told her how I feel. Maybe it's finally sinking in but I find that I enjoy the fact that she's not withdrawing.

As Davante spits out his cake, Isolt reaches out to put her own plate down and she stands up as someoen bellow down below the balcony. Her words to me are almost a scolding, my brow rises, caught between surprised and slightly impressed at her brassness. I'm sure Davante will have something smart to say about that and yet in this moment, I don't care. I find myself smirking like an idiot even as my eyes twinkle with humor. I then move to the balcony slowly just to observe as she glides down the stairs like a goddess. I hear the man and his cursees but she doesn't seem hesitant so I leave her to it, simply leaning forward on the balcony, making myself comfortable to watch. As the man raises his hand to a waitor, she is quick to grab his wrist and I tilt my head in curiosity to see how this plays out. While I do have a strong urge to get down there and protect her, I know that she doesn't need it. At his question, I chuckle under my breath, leaving her to answer in any way she sees fit.

I know Davante has never had a fondness for vampires and before I met him in that cemetary, he might have staked me first and asked questions later but we've gotten to know each other little by little through mutual work or otherwise and I think he has a growing soft spot for my wit and charm. Apparently he has a liking to Isolt as well which is just as well. I'd rather him not have her in his cross hairs. I turn my gaze to Davante as he shifts in the chair and then I turn my gaze to the shadow that seems to follow him and note with surprise that it's breaking off into other beings. I watch them with growing curiosity, noting the one acting like its playing chess and then another that looks somehow more favorable than the others straightens up and my brows furrow. As it rakes its fingers down my arm, my skin trembles in anticipation, my body suddenly feeling move alive as if she just slipped me faerie blood. And then she turns my jaw so that I'm looking at Isolt and my eyes darken with hunger. I have urges to got to her and make her desk into a new kind of instrument but then the shadow slips away and back into one being that looks abused or something. I raise a brow at Davante this time at his comment.

I rub my chin. "Do tell." I answer back with a knowing smirk. I didn't altogether dislike what just happened though now I just feel more restless than before. He mutters after spitting out the cake and I snort softly. "Well invite me along. You know I like to burn some energy too." I grin mischeveously. We do need to do some more partner work sometime soon. He downs his drink while I watch with humor. He makes a comment about women as Isolt moves down the stairs and I chuckle and shake my head. "Or they just create a new kind of fun. You just have to have the right map and the smarts to use it." I give him a teasing wink as I move to the balcony. I look up as he moves by, only to have my brows rise in surprise to see the cake following behind him. What the...? My curiosity piqued, I watch and wait. I chuckle a little at his quip about the guy's hair before the cake falls onto it and soaks the man in blood and cake frosting. I start clapping as I walk down the stairs drawing attention to me as I grin at both Isolt and Davante and as I reach the man, I run my finger through a bloody strand of his hair, bringing it to my mouth to taste as I make an "mmm" noise in my throat.

"Blood is great for a lot of things, but I haven't seen it used a hair gel yet. You should patent that." I say to Davante before I turn back to the man, who's turning so red with rage he might be blending in with the blood now. I grab his gaze before he can try to hammer me through the floor. "You should probably go home and get washed up unless you want the koolaid effect. I hear blood stains very well. And next time you're around, come in for a complimentary meal and a full round of drinks, on the house." I give him my most charming grin and watch the magic as he starts to calm down, but as he turns to leave, I tap his shoulder. "Oh, but before you go. I think you owe my staff and the manager an apology. A piece of cake wasn't really worth all that, now was it?"
