East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

long live the pioneers
rebels and mutineers

It has been an interesting morning, to say the least. It wasn't often that one lead led to another, and even less often that it included not one but two other weres, not to mention breakfast. Still she was more than a little hesitant about taking this meeting, and was she not so damn hungover from the night before she probably wouldn't have. As a rule she didn't work for others. Working for others meant a trail that could possibly lead back to her when worse came to worse. That's why she typically worked alone and by random chance meetings, because when they awoke they were either too guilty to talk about it or too drunk to remember. Ultimately that gave her the best likelihood of immunity if anything ever did come to light, that and a myriad of fake names of course.

Still she was dangerously low on cash despite the score she had made last night, and if this slick talker was good on his word perhaps it would be lucrative for all of them. They made an odd group, to be sure. Dom with her whiplike tongue, Frost's own overtly persuasive nature completed with her own more reserved wit, though lacking none of the same body as their own. Her hazel eyes locked on Frost's own vibrant ones with her final retort, noting the spark of both danger and ferocity lurking beneath their color before she walked away briskly. A smile played on her slender lips as she heard Dom follow close behind her. The fact that neither of them waited on Frost to lead the way to his breakfast party was amusing her to no end as they crossed the street and wound their way to an available table.

With a fluid motion she sat, reclining slightly enough to look nonchalant though mentally her eyes danced around the café. Mentally she noted everyone around them, she had a talent for remembering faces and she would be sure not to run into any of these patrons again. Her intense gaze follows the waitress as she bustles around in quick movements that were enough to set the feline side of her on edge. One manicured eyebrow raised as she finally set down a myriad of foods before scampering away once more. "Come here often?" she asked rather sarcastically before leaning forward to drag one of the plates across the table. Just because she was grateful for the free meal didn't mean she would change her attitude. She wasn't in the habit of changing herself for anyone, he knew damn well what he had gotten himself into with her.

She rolled the fruit to the far side of her plate, it had to be decorative after all because lord knows that wouldn't keep someone going all day. As Frost's silky voice broke the silence that food often brought with it she merely let her eyes wander from his hair-obscured features to the tattooed girl he questioned. In truth she was intrigued to know the answer as well, her scent definitely equine as he had stated and yet nothing she had come across before. Crunching on a piece of bacon followed swiftly by a sausage and some eggs she let them speak, happy to be allowed to eat before he turned his disconcerting stare on her.

Naturally his focus turned to her while her mouth was half full of food, and she chewed while listening before swallowing, taking a few more moments to judge his words. Obviously he had already identified her trade, but how much did she truly want to reveal to a perfectly good stranger? "As for how good I am, I appreciate you sharing your bacon," she started with a sly grin and her tongue running across pink lips in slight mockery, accompanied a pointed look to where he had originally pushed the meat to the far side of his plate. While he had been focused on Dom she had taken the opportunity to take the snack from under his nose. "Petty theft is the base of all thievery, all of it is merely misdirection and you go from there. I can get a job done, but I don't play games. Tell me the target and I'll tell you I can do it, but I suggest you follow it by what, exactly, payment will be." She pointedly avoided the word reward, it made her sound like some dog who had learned a trick and she wouldn't let him think he held all the cards in this situation.
