East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

OMBRE QUEEN

His scent lingered only lightly but she was so in tune with her Alpha that she pick up even the faintest nuances of him. It may not be like that for others, but she could pinpoint where he spent the majority of his time. It confused her that there were so many Were's in the cafe, didn't they know what the owner was? Or maybe they just wanted to become friends, be spared harm from silver, but she hadn't gotten that vibe from him at all. Then again, she hadn't gotten too much of anything, she'd been too skittish, too on edge from the freshly healed bullet wound in her hip.

Her chin tilts up as if she were scenting the air but she was really pulling in that pumpkin scent with a small smile on her lips. Apple was her favorite though, anything with apple for the autumn season. She still felt closed in by the amount of people, their scents mixing and matching enough to where she couldn't pull a particular one but His. When the man cleared his throat and she responded in kind without really looking she pulled her body to the side near an empty chair. She didn't think he would remember her, their meeting had been brief, "I--" She started and lets out a light laugh, clearly remembering her stuttering and stumbling of her words from before.

She takes a deep breath, "I wanted to thank you for your kindness," She says, letting her blue eyes meet his for the barest of moments before she drops it down to rest on her hands. This feeling of--gratitude--was different for her, she was not used to such feelings. She was used to being handed things and while she would thank the giver, true gratitude was something that was new. "You probably don't see it as much, but at the time, it was. And--" She takes a deep breath, a small smile lifting the corners of her lips again, "I wanted to apologize for my quite hasty exit--" This was something that she had wanted to do, but confidence is a hard thing to come by for her. It had also been one of the longest speeches to date, comfortable in her limited conversations. It didn't mean she was completely comfortable around him, but she knew that he wasn't about to just attack for no reason, he hadnt on that first night so there was no reason he would now. Right?
