East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

For all his perceived youth the far younger man is entirely aware of the subtle game to be played in these few moments, each man content to tease at the strands of control, neither willing to allow the other to have entirely to much- a game Frost is entirely well versed in. After all, he is a stallion by very nature, dominance and control go hand in hand, even when his company is not of the same persuasion. The vampire however, was proving a little more- intelligent the he had truly given him credit for, something both intriguing and yet oddly irritating all at once. Perhaps he should have anticipated such a thing, after all, vampires lived long lives and while he hardly knew how old Dareios was it was rare that a vampire failed to master something in their invariably long lives. Evidently Dareios was far more capable then he actually looked. Then again, Frost was also entirely sure the man was being less than honest in regards to exactly what he did for a living, though for now the equine sees little need to press it further as the vampire admits to not having the item already in his possession. Perhaps it was better that way. The vampire hardly knew what it was, Frost was sure and the less time he held onto it, once he found it, the better really. He hardly needed the other man formulating some grand ideas of his own. It would be a shame to have to get rid of him, as far as vampires went Dareios was not entirely as offensive as most of them- nor did he actually reek of death as so many of them did.

Dareios had moved to face him by this stage, Frost content to remain almost nonchalant to the man's presence, leaning against the bar with one arm, head resting in the palm of his hand in a manner almost callous though the violet of his gaze lingers upon Dareios own beneath that forelock of tousled white hair. A small quirk of his lip in response to the man is all he seems to offer, as if some part of the man's words were amusing to him and perhaps they were, the boy offering a light shrug of sorts.

"Your welcome to get to know me if you truly desire, though when you are more honest with me perhaps I might be more honest with you. You seem to have done awfully well in life for just being an antiques dealer."

The words are decidedly pleasant- though pointed, offered as if little more than a drifting thought and yet Frost remains entirely assured Dareios does more with his night then merely attempt to sell ancient wardrobes to people. He cannot be sure, of course, he is simple digging a little, after all- he need only put the thought in Dareios mind and allow it to reveal the truth if the man himself won't do so willingly . The more pressing matter however, sees his attention deviate back to the issue of payment. A rather steep payment. For a moment the younger man feels himself frown, fingers paused in their taping motion atop the polished wood of the bar, eyes narrowing slightly in evident...displeasure at the offered figure. Allowing Dareios to possess something he wanted was a gamble all the same, one he is assured the vampire is willing to exploit if need be and yet sometimes such a risk was necessary. Even if he disliked it- a long pause seeming to rest heavily in the air between them

"Fine-."

He offered at last, fingers returned to taping against the bar surfaces.

"As long as you take cash and you actually do work in those hours I'm paying for. It would be...displeasing if you didn't and tried to charge me for them."

It is perhaps, a thinly veiled suggestion that attempting to overcharge him was hardly going to go down well. After all, he knew where Dareios lived, what he did, a number of his habits- it would hardly be difficult to find out whether or not he had worked when he had claimed too. As for the price itself, that was decidedly...more than he had anticipated and yet gathering that sort of money was not totally impossible, it would still require something of an effort from him however. Hmm, maybe Dareios would get himself killed trying to acquire it all the same, after all, a Hunter had owned it last and chances were still did, Frost seeing no impending need to mention such a thing, the vampires unfortunate death would easily end any need to pay him although his amulet would remain at large still. It was much of a muchness truly.

"I assume there is nothing you might prefer instead of money?"

It hardly hurt to try now did it?
