East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to feel the fear in my enemies eyes

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

Alexander's eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly at the announcement that he was, without question, "anyone's type". He could hardly ignore the look that crossed Frost's gaze at the statement anymore then he could ignore the implications that such a sentence had held. It made his thoughts wander throughout the years to those lovers he had and those he still missed. Alexander cleared his throat, shifting his weight in a fashion that almost hinted his discomfort and yet, he hardly voiced a response beyond a small shrug of his shoulders. He could feel the brush of Frost's mind against his, the man's reply was decidedly simple and yet, Alexander saw no reason to dispute him, his blue-green gaze instead shifting towards the drink within Alexis' grip. The mention of boats, however, once again capture's Alex's attention, bringing his eyes back towards his companion as he admitted he didn't find them all together unappealing. After all, he had spent enough time upon those wooden hulls back when scuurvy had run rampant and waves alone could cut a ship in half. The notion that Alexis had never been on a boat, however, sees him to pause.

He had known that the fox's life was sheltered but it still caught him off guard how little she had experienced within this world when he, on the contrary, had experienced so very much of it. However, a word hardly left his lips before his companion brushed off any thoughts of the boat in favor for coffee. His eyebrows rose ever so slightly at the mention of his business and yet he offered a slow nod, after all, the location of his cafe was certainly no secret to the group at large. Unfortunately, the man hard time to question Frost's thought before the man himself was maneuvering through the crowd with startling ease, leaving Alex alone with one very tipsy young woman. A soft sigh left his lips as his gaze drifted over towards Alexis. With particular care, Alexander placed his glove back upon his hand, making an effort to avoid skin contact if only because of the state with which her mind surely was currently in. "It's been a long time, I must admit, since I have been the sober one in a situation like this." He commented, more towards himself then the female beside him. Still, he did his best to offer her the smallest of simpers before his hand reached out to her, clearly intending to see to it that Alexis made her way safely out of the dance club.

His skin flinched at the slightest of touches as he lead her through the crowd, his eyebrows furrowed with concentration. The constant intrusion of other certainly served to make the usually placid Dark Hunter far more irritable then normal. The moment they stepped out of the crowded establishment, the cold air of Autumn greeted him like a welcomed friend. Gingerly, he released his hold upon Alexis' hand, ensuring she followed Frost down the street with himself in tow. The silence was quite welcoming to him - that was, until her name rang out on Frost's lips. His attention shifted towards the man, the corners of his lips twitching downwards in a frown at the sheer suggestion that his identity was kept hidden from her. It was a rather true fact but he had not yet decided not only how to admit the truth to her, but much less if he even wanted to. WIth her sheltered life, he quite frankly doubted if she even knew of his name to begin with. What he hadn't expected, however, was the words 'James Bond' to follow. His lips parted, fully intending to refute the claim only to find himself simply staring at the duo in front of him in a nearly dubious fashion. "Oh yes, and Frost here was the main horse used in the movie Black Beauty." His retort came fairly quickly, nearly ignoring all together the fact that Frost was very white and Beauty was very much black. He hardly combatted Frost's silent words, however, instead merely offering the man a small shake of his head and a roll of those blue-green colored eyes.
