East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I haven't heard hair or tails of Nadya or the pack since the night I left with Frost. I can only hope that everything is okay. I remember hearing rumors that Nadya was pregnant but the father was unknown. I also remember hearing that the new Burlesque in town was owned by none other than the panther were. I still adore her like it was just yesterday she saved me down a dark alley. I remember shopping with her and Raven fondly.

I never expected to see her come walking into the cafe with one child on her hip and another in a stroller. My eyes widen. And here I was thinking it was just rumors but the resemblance is undeniable. She is still as proud as ever, walking right into the cafe despite the rude looks from some customers. As I'm walking up, I see the girl throw a stuffed horse on the ground. I stiffen slightly when I hear Nadya talk to her, mentioning the name Frost. So she knows him too? I bite my bottom lip in thought before deciding I still miss talking to her. I call out her name and she turns to me, giving me a smile of recognition that instantly sets me at ease.

I nod that she hasn't seen me in a while and then smile sweetly as she asks how I am. I manage to tell Delores I'm taking a quick break much to her disgruntlement before I take a seat across from her at a table. "I'm good, I guess. I've been working here for a couple months now. I'm friends with the owner." I blush a little, mentioning Alexander before I continue. "What about you? I heard that you had kids but I didn't know whether to believe it. You look amazing, if that's anything. I bet you love being a mom." I try for politeness, though it's easy to see the puzzlement and curiosity in my gaze as I glance at her kids then back at her. I have no experience dealing with youngsters so I wouldn't even know where to begin on how to talk about them.

"How's the pack? Is Tobias staying out of trouble?" I smirk a little, remembering him fondly even if he did shoot at me at the Ark. I may never fully trust him again but I'll always cherish the memories we made as friends.
