East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

NEVER LET YOUR FEAR DECIDE YOUR FATE

Posted on February 09, 2016 by DARIEN AYRES

You think that I'm conceded, but maybe I'm just miserable
Now that I'm improvin', they say that I have lost it all, oh

Nothing seemed like it could get Sebastian out of this blood-induced stupor. He was almost like an animal led and running strictly by desire and instinct. Something the fae himself always fantasized about. When Darien started to fear he'd lost him, that nip on the ear manages to be the key. Whatever that sensation or touch did, it allowed Seb to let go of the unwanted assaulter and bring his attention back onto him, just as he wanted. Darien watches as all three of the men fall onto the pavement, showing just how powerless and weak they were compared to Seb, the moment their asshole friend is released. He looks both euphoric and half-dead, not very responsive. Darien thinks he hears them call him "Paul" but his own attention is quickly turned back into the one man he wanted to give it to.

He holds Seb, allowing him to relax and lean into his embrace, feeling actually kind of useful in this very simple task, staring at him from the side with longing. It was when the vampire looked up at him and caressed his cheeks that truly made Darien weak in the knees; to the point they are forced to lock or he'd buckle. He can sense what was coming next. It all seemed natural now. It was all he wanted, too. With eyes closed just before Sebastian's lips are on his, licking away at the blood, a shiver of pleasure runs down his spine. He softly (when he can) returns each lustful kiss with a deep and desiring one. Seb was so dominate and primal; Darien was so submissive and vulnerable.

To him, this was working, this was normal. He liked this. He wanted it like this.

Hearing him say how good he tasted, Darien feels a surge of confidence he had been lacking come onto him. Right after hearing Seb whisper that, he pulls him in closer. He positions himself so they faced each other now, and with one hand on his hip and reaching slowly to firmly hold his bottom, the other wrapped itself around his neck and pulled him in closer to the vampire. He was now deeply into the heat of this kiss. And what's more strange was he actually found himself liking the taste of blood. Blood, booze, adrenaline ... it was more addicting than anything he'd ever done. Darien was ready for whatever happened next. Except, well, what did happen.

He feels Sebastian pull away. Out of the embrace, the kiss, out of everything. Darien opens his eyes and stares at him, confused and still seeing just how dark his gaze was. There was still that sinful look all over him, but what was wrong? Darien is starting to get annoyed, almost heartbroken if you could believe it. From his pocket, he pulls out an ivory handkerchief and places it in his hand. Darien is staring at his face the entire time, noticing the swallow, the insatiable thirst. 'Kill me? Leave?! What? No!' Talk about anticlimactic! Darien shakes his head, holding the handkerchief like his life depended on it. He closes the gap between them, grabbing Seb's face with both hands and pulling him closer, where he belonged. A rough whisper follows, "No, please! You won't kill me." He rapidly pecks his lips, pulling away just enough to speak again. "Please..."

His tone was pleading. It was a request. You don't really mean this, do you? You can't be serious? There was something more to this, deeper. He doesn't want to hurt me....

He looks into Sebastian's eyes, one hand following to his side, the other lovingly holding the back of his head. He can see it, he can hear it, too. As much as Darien didn't want to, he had to. He bites his bottom lip in frustration, clearly upset but willing to justify it. He looks at the handkerchief, now noticing the initials SE on it. He sniffles, his rough whisper now one of gloom, and he can't look Seb in the eyes anymore. "Will I ever see you again? This is what this means? Then how?" He looks at the three men, still trying to get their friend up on his feet and he feels angry. They ruined this. If Sebastian had been saying anything, Darien didn't hear. He was too focused on the men, hatefully glaring at them in almost a jealous fit. And with a deep inhale, he looks at Seb with a facelike begging

And he waits then .. to see if he needed to go. He would, but Darien was willing to risk his life for this thrill. This sin, risk .. whatever this was. He was willing to roll the dice. He needed to make sure, a second cue. He believed that indeed his life was in danger ... but ...
