East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It is a truly and decidedly delicate interplay that occurs in those moments between man and beast, one far more fought within the mind of each then an any physical sense- through truly Frost was half inclined to consider how capable he may be of tumbling Alexander entirely. The man was far more experienced then any he had come across so far, a part of him content in this knowledge- more assured of his choice in companion and yet while some part of the man might be willing to accept, if not appreciate Alexanders knowledge- the determinedly animalistic part of himself pressed only more firmly against the challenge such a man presented. Both, it would seem, are content to walk upon the delicate knifes edge between war and peace- at least for now. Frost, after all was willing to concede some level of control to the rider, though how much remained yet to be tested. That a true battle, at some point, might surely calm remained to be seen within this proverbial moment of calm both seem content to have found.

Alexander, in the least, had proven some satisfactory skill- enough to further assure the equine that the man would prove to be useful in the end, that he held some actual value and potentially possessed some ability to teach what Frost did not already know. Though how much of his own pride, perhaps, was willing to admit to such short-comings in his own wealth of knowledge remained to be seen. This entire façade, after all, is new to the stallion- each gesture, word and touch outside his current knowledge though for now one he has contented himself to learning. The momentary peace between the pair continue to last several more moments before the pale stallions feels Alexander's heels at his sides once more, offering that same, soft nudge they previously had. He understands entirely what the man desires, this single 'forward' command perhaps the only one the pair had managed to achieve and yet still the stallions hesitates- considering once more if he truly desires to do entirely as asked before his muscle rolls once more. This time however, there is no sharp tense or rapidly building pressure within the equines powerful form. This time he simply decides to abide the command, strolling suddenly forward and into an easy enough walk, heavy feathered hooves slapping at the sandy ground for an entire circuit of the arena.

He was unwilling to admit, either to himself or the Hunter that this was not nearly so bad as he had envisioned, that perhaps his previous aversions to such a task had been misguided on some level and yet he is assured all the same that until Alexander, a rider of his own choosing, none had been worth such a privilege all the same. Alexander, at least, seemed to hold some respect for him as both animal and man- one precious few Hunters ever seemed entirely capable of and it is for perhaps that reason alone that Frost simply allows this interaction now. It takes near the entire length of the arena before the stallion relaxes into the swinging gait of his own walk, stride extending easily now, motion far more fluid beneath his own decision that Alexander was not someone to be battled against here and now. The war horse pauses once more only when they reach the gate again, assured this is what Alexander had desired, keeping himself still as the man climbs down. How such a little being managed to climb up in the first place was truly a marvel to Frost all the same, the Hunter clearly more athletic than he appeared. Any attempt by the man to move away however is met with a sudden and abrupt snort, the large animal extending his neck suddenly forward, teeth parting to grasp the back of the mans jacket and haul him suddenly backwards, ears lacing back atop his head in a clear disdain.

He can smell the apple the Hunter has concealed somewhere upon him, the decidedly animalistic part of the Were refusing to allow Alexander to leave without this treat, large nose reaching forward shove impolitely at his chest all the same before waiting once more. His violet gaze watching with clear anticipation. That he has, clearly, never been set any boundaries in this regard remain to be seen- Frost entirely used to receiving entirely what he desires, any attempt by the Hunter to move away without offering this concealed treat met with a ready snap of teeth. It is only when Alexander, finally, produces the apple that Frost moves to take it from his hand- the fruit little more then a singular mouthful for such a large animal before he moves to stride abruptly forward and out of the arena- heading for the clothing he had left within the nearby trees.

You can get home from here, right?

An understanding they may have reached, yet Frost sees no need to actually take the man home.

I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight, Alex.

It is all he offers, stepping into the shadows of the trees and forest, content to leave the Hunter to make his own way back. The goodness of his heart after all- clearly does not yet extend this far as he lopes easily into the darkness and towards his own pack and home.
