East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

A small frown crossed the man's lips, his eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as the young fairy in front of him burst into giggle at his efforts to explain to her just how difficult it was to give her what he assumed she asked of him. He couldn't understand her reaction, no more perhaps than she could understand his own muddled emotions at her inquiry. A soft sigh left his lips, his emerald eyes drifting from the young woman as it occurred to him yet again how different their worlds were. Perhaps there species were not meant to become involved in each other? Perhaps his kind was supposed to stick with their own - it was what they always did. Although he had hardly been taught to face the other species with any kind of disdain, he too could scarcely remember a single of his were brethren in all of his life expressing an interest in another that was not of their kind.

The sound of his name on her lips slowly pulled his vibrant gaze back towards the fairy, watching her with a sense of apprehension as she confirmed that which he already expected. The girl was entirely ignorant of his kind, much as she was perhaps ignorant of the supernatural world at large. He watched the way in which she smiled at him though he offered no immediate movement in return, instead simply listening as she continued with what she was expecting from him. His facial feature were kept perfectly still, his emotions perhaps just as so as she voice the term 'girlfriend', explaining exactly what she hoped from their unexpectedly blossoming relationship. He was silent at first, contemplating what effect accepting it might have upon not only his own life but the one of his family - his pack. They meant everything to him and frankly, even if she was not yet his mate, he knew that in some fashion or another, she would have some effect upon them.

It was perhaps the memory of his sibling's goding the first time that Tetradore had brought the fae to her that eventually cause his cranium to bob in acceptance. Isolt had found a vampire that interested her, someone who could be there for her in ways that he could not. He was someone who didn't share the same tainted, dark, and bloody history that he had with her. There was no reason for him to continue to let his heart linger upon the vampire, especially not when the fae provoked something within him. Didn't he owe himself that much? "All right." He spoke softly, "That's something I can do." Hm. A girlfriend. Who would have thought the day would have ended like this?
