East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

don't go inside; that's where my demons hide

Vhalla's relief is apparent when he agrees to dance with her and she lets him slip his hands from her arms to take her own. Squeezing them both as if to say "thank you" she returns to his previous inquiry of her well-being, "I will be," she calls loudly over the crowd to be heard. Electric blue eyes tightening at the corners she does a quick scan of the crowd, the men are still circling the bar, determined to go through every person if need be to find her. Snarling softly, she whips away from them to focus on the man in front of her.

Suddenly noticing the slight point to his ears she admonishes herself for a moment for drawing a fae into her concerns. When she looks back on it though, there wasn't much of an option. Huffing softly, she grips his hand with her right, throbbing but ignores it, and he twirls her gracefully towards him. Taken off guard she falls into step almost immediately and her eyes narrow in surprise at the gracefulness of the faerie. Vhalla does note that it takes him a minute to find his beat so she takes control with ease, her body melting towards him until they were brushing each other.

Releasing his hand, she twirls around him, her body matching those of the dancers around her, yet much more precise and graceful and somewhat deadly looking. It was as if she was dancing with death herself. Grasping onto his hands as if they were her lifeline, she incorporates her knowledge of classical dancing and she realizes swiftly that the fae is more adept to ballroom. Taking that as her que, she leads him into a sort of fast Waltz with a flare. It wasn't quite a Waltz and it wasn't quite dirty dancing, somewhere in the middle, yet it didn't stand out or draw attention either.

Flashing a grin, full of white, straight teeth, she recaptures the fae's gaze with her own icy eyes. Despite her current predicament she was rather enjoying herself and she mentally kicked herself for doing so, now was not the time for fun and games. Vhalla locks eyes with the man, unable to look away, for someone so perceptive she was curious to know what was lurking behind that drunken daze and if he knew he was in potential danger for associating with her, or if he just thought she would be a good lay to end the night.

After some difficulty, she's brought back to reality what the music slows and he draws her in close, his heavy breathing caressing her cheek. He wasn't unpleasant, no, not unpleasant at all. Feeling his fingers brush lightly across her lower back, she shudders into his touch, twining her arms around his neck, noting the towel was beginning to bleed through. Vhal is no stranger to the games of the bed, she had been trained, disgustingly and not surprisingly by her master in how to use all her assets. If she could travel back to undo her past, besides the killing life she led she would never have let him coax her into teaching her.

Clenching her jaw at the memory, she lets it slip away. Tearing her eyes away from the faerie for a moment, she gazes around the crowd only to spot the men making their way onto the dancing floor, inspecting the patrons, thinking quickly, she whirls her gaze back to the faerie, her body stiffening beneath his hands, inspecting him quickly she makes a decision, she just hoped that he hadn't arrived here with someone. If the dancing wasn't going to get him into trouble, her next action would certainly.

"I'm sorry!" She shouts over the crowd, apologizing prior to her actions. Untwining her hands from his neck, she fists his shirt into her hands and draws him close, her breath tickling across his face momentarily before she crushes her lips against his. Slipping her eyes close, she reaches her left hand up to entwine in his hair, tugging at it gently and her right caressing the side of his cheek. Pushing her body closer to him, their lips are a dance only growing in fervor as the music does.

Vhalla can feel the eyes of the men on her for a moment before they slip over quickly, obviously disgusted by the couple making out, and she relaxes just barely as she peeks open an eye to watch them past right next to them, off the floor and out the back door. Either they would be waiting for her when she left or they had finally given up the chase, she hoped it was the latter. It takes all her self control to drag her lips away from the clash of teeth and tongue, she was on fire. Besides her hooded eyes and the flush to her cheeks, she schooled her features into a neutral expression, even when her heart thumped loudly in her chest as if she were going to explode from the inside out.

Untangling her limbs from him she takes a step back giving the faerie an apologetic grin, "I'm sorry!" she shouts again and as she takes a step back to move away from him, Vhalla staggers forward and very nearly collapses back onto him. She hadn't realized how much blood she had lost, glancing down to her right arm she watches the blood drip to the floor. Light headed, she sways, clutching at her face, pale and drawn she can feel his hands wrap around to steady her. She wouldn't last on her feet much longer, at a loss for words she only thinks of how she can get home to bandage up.
