I'm more alive than I've ever been

The literal slip of tongue had been purely accidental, Isolt having certainly not intended to share the emotional burden of Damon's presumed "cold feet" with the companion she had not seen in many, many months. Alas, unable is she to belay the words that had presumably been festering upon her tongue for just as long. Isolt was, after all, private as a matter of character and custom, hardly consenting to subject anyone (aside from Harley, of course) to this darker portion of herself... even if it was merely a peek through the keyhole, as it were. "Yeah, I know," she mutters, distracting herself as much as she can with the child in her arms. "I just can't help but wonder if he's unsure of the wedding or... of me. He's never been one for commitment, you know?" The redheaded woman stays her tongue then, hardly daring to voice into existence the other consideration that had infiltrated her mind of late: the consideration of what it might have been like had the proverbial chips of her life been played in a different way. What if she had allowed herself to explore the possibility of something with Tet as she had initially intended when her fear of him had finally fallen away like the sloughing of an old skin? Would her heart still know this bitter ache?

Quite literally does Isolt shake the thoughts from her fire-crowned head, that customarily benevolent smile once again casting its light unto her features as her eyes return to Nadya. "That sounds heavenly, but I've reserved my venue already. Thankfully that part was relatively simple. It's a garden out by the park... almost its own little oasis. I'll have laterns, fountains, tents. If it turns out the way it looks in my head I think it'll be beautiful." A glimmer, small yet absolute, flashes ever so briefly in the eyes of the vampire woman, this particular detail of her upcoming nuptuals seeming to bring her some measure of satisfaction. "But if he rents it out as a wedding suite, that would be helpful!"

The smile broadens upon Isolt's features at the assurance of Nadya's attendence. She and Tet had, after all, acted as the only family that Isolt had known beyond the veil of mortality. They had been everything to her, for a time, until Damon and eventually Harley had returned themselves to her. Even now did they hold quite the generous portion of her heart and the love that accompanied it, and so to have both of them at what could very well be heretofore the single-most important moment of her immortal existence was a magnanimously jubilant thing. Mention of the children, however, served to escort her considerations down a new, unexplored avenue. She could not fathom why she had not mulled over it before now. "Actually," she issues, azure eyes flicking to each child in turn, "if you're alright with it... I don't have a ring bearer or a flower girl. I don't know anyone else with children... and I think they would be perfect. I would get them their outfits and cover a sitter for the evening, of course. Would that be okay with you?"
