Falling Into My Condition

Her laughter resounded in his ears and her comment moved a chuckle past his lips. She quickly sat across from him, needing no approval or permission from anyone other than herself to do as she pleased; she had all the signs of trouble written over her. He'd be lying to say he didn't find that to be an exceptional quality in a person. The barkeep wanders back out, bottle in hand, standing at the table momentarily in silence. Aaron disregards him with the excpetion of the few seconds it takes him to rifle through his pocket and pull out a few bills, placing them down on the table. He kept his focus set on the brunette, who'd silently sent the liquor lackey back on his way behind the bar. "But then I'd have to hunt you down... though I believe you'd enjoy that far too much." The tone of his voice lightened as his words carried on, lips curling into a sly smile.

Eyes flashed suddenly away from the woman as they caught a glimpse of the shadowy man in their peripherals. Dirty blonde hairs scattered, falling out of place as his head turned slightly to take a better look over his shoulder. Grabbing the bottle, he turned his attention back into her amber eyes, perceiving no real threat from the stranger tonight. All seemed well on this night; with the exception of his bold new companion, he wasn't quite sure what the beauty had up her sleeves. He had half a mind that she would have already seized the bottle from the table before he'd gotten to it. Looking down to the fresh full glass the bartender had brought out before the bottle, he motioned slightly to it. He was well aware she sought no approval or permission before she acted. It however would be rude to not make it known he didn't mind sharing.

The next string of words had come almost as a genuine surprise to him. He'd already recognized that she wasn't blessed with the same curse as he, nor was she a Hunter and there was no distinct smell of an animal surrounding her. It left few options left and endless possibilities open. A wide smile struck itself across his lips; for her to be so bold knowing exactly what he was and what he could be capable of. And not just himself, the Hunter as well who she'd clearly already picked out earlier. He pondered her fearlessness momentarily, watching as she playfully taunted the dark figure in the corner. "On occasion. So, do you often go to bars to taunt the Vampires and the Hunters?" His question mimicked hers but he was quite interested to learn more about her dauntlessness. He drew the bottle back towards his lips, taking in another long sip. His mind swelled with thoughts and theories behind his indomitable brunette friend.

Her eyes looked into his as she spoke her name, breaking him from his previous thoughts. "Aaron, pleasure to meet you... I think." Jokingly the words rolled off his tongue. Fingers wrapped around the square glass bottle as lips met against it once more to drain the barrel aged nectar. A smooth smile was revealed as he pulled the bottle away, placing it back down on the table. He pulled up a free rough hand to run through his blonde strands, pushing them back from his face. His gaze remained fixed on Andy as he tried to get a better glimpse into who and what she was. For now he was semi content with leaving her as the mystery she remained but his curiosity was sparked left quite ravenous.

I sold my soul... just so I could feel paid.
I broke my heart... so I couldn't feel pain.
I lost my faith... 'cause I can't justify the weight.
I've got no hope... that's only for losers and fakes.
