See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch
He could hardly help the way his eyes lingered upon her petite figure as they left the hotel room and headed down the hall toward that rooftop pool and spa. That two-piece suit offered him the sight of far more off her skin then he was often afforded. She was so...attractive it was almost painful. Abigail seemingly oblivious to just how, well, cute she really was. His girlfriend as excitable as always for the adventure that spa promised without any true realisation, he suspected, off just how difficult it was for him to look anywhere other then her. His assurance that she had looked nothing but perfect back in that hotel room had seemingly returned that confidence to her all at once as they stepped out onto the rooftop. Arlo forcing himself to focus on climbing into that spa unless he fell in the damn thing because he was hardly watching what his feet were doing. A small part of the vampire almost inclined to wonder if all the girls from Abby's country looked like her. Was Nepal some great untapped town of mountains and attractive women? Maybe he'd have to ask Sebastian about that. It seemed like the sort of strange, unusual place Sebastian might go to. The Crusnik equally inclined to wonder how far away that country really was. Geography wasn't exactly his strong suit after all.
Arlo settled easily within that hot tub then, that bubbling heated water nothing short of utterly and completely blissful on his too-cold frame, chasing away those icy fingers that eternally seemed to cling to his pale skin. God how good it felt to be warm! Arlo sighing softly in response, his blue gaze fluttering briefly closed- at least until that sudden exclamation from his Little Bear that the water was hot. Arlo glancing toward her in clear surprise then. Had she never....been in a hot tub before? What sort of messed up place was this Nepal that had ten story buildings without hot tubs and potentially no hallways!? He really was going to have to ask her for pictures one day. The vampire quick to comment a hot tub would hardly be any fun if it wasn't hot. After all, who wanted to just....sit in cold water? Then it would just have been a really, really small swimming pool. Abigail was quick to confirm that very suspicion that this was not only the first time she'd been in one- but the first time she'd even seen one! Arlo shifting slightly to the side to give her plenty of room to climb in. That giggle of delight on her lips prompting a ready grin to his own.
"You'll like it, I promise."
That was one promise he was nearly one hundred percent sure he could keep. After all, who didn't like hot tubs? Abigail stepped tentatively into that water then. The red-haired woman seeming momentarily unsure of that heated pool before at last settling within it, Arlo reaching readily for her in near the same moment. That desire for closeness with his girlfriend was suddenly almost overwhelming. Maybe they hadn't exactly reached that full level of physical intimacy just yet but he could so hardly allow Abby to walk about looking as utterly desirable as she did without at least feeling some of that skin against his own could he? Arlo decidedly careful never to push her to far in any of those more...affectionate things they did. The pair hardly having achieved anything beyond making out just yet, Abby more often than not the one to pull away and yet- Arlo was content to let her. Those things would come in time right? Then again it wasn't as if they had...discussed it. Maybe they should. Did couples discuss that sort of thing? Were they supposed to? Was it allowed? He didn't need to freak her out. Maybe just...holding her would be enough for now. That feeling off her figure against his how and that delectable scent off her skin surprisingly satisfying. Even if he near mentally scolded himself for considering how.....good she smelled. God, biting her was the last thing he needed to do. Unconscious Abby would hardly be particularly pleasing for either of them.
Abigail hardly took long to settle against him, Arlo easily loping one arm around her then. The vampire desiring nothing more than to think of this, this moment beneath those stars and within that heated water and yet- his thoughts continued to turnabout within his mind like a bloody ping pong ball richoteting off the walls of his skull. God it had been a shit night. A really shit night. He'd come so close to just...ruining everything and he was going to have to tell Abby what happened, all of it, one day, even if she....didn't look at him quite the same afterwards. Arlo sighing softly once more before that very insistence that he was glad she'd grabbed that extra box fell from his lips. The man hardly anticipating her own sudden query on those groupies. Damn his sister. Arlo momentarily struggling to find a way to explain exactly what a groupie was to his all-too-innocent girlfriend. The man oblivious to the fact Abby had, not initially, understood just what 'sleep together' had meant. His explanation somewhat...fumbling. That sheepish look still on his features. Abby seeming to consider those words for a moment before attempting to puzzle out her own conclusion. Arlo's eyes widening slightly at the understanding she'd reached.
"Oh no, no, sorry I....I wasn't clear, sorry babe. A girl sleeping with her boyfriend who happens to be in a band doesn't make her a groupie. A groupie is a girl who....isn't in a relationship with any of the guys in the band- she just sleeps with all of them, sometimes more than one a night or even more then...one at a time. Your not a groupie and sleeping with me won't make you one I promise."
He could hardly have Abby thinking she was! Arlo making every effort to...explain his explanation before pausing to make sure she understood all the ways in which she was not a groupie. Arlo mostly sure any other words to describe just those sorts of women would hardly be understood in turn The vampire near readily blindsided by the second question all the same and just what he'd sister had meant by that 'fun' he must be in the bedroom. Great. His sister wasn't even here and she was still causing problems! Arlo finding himself, well, almost embarrassed really to try and describe that to his girlfriend. A part of him equally determined to make sure she knew none of those rumours about vampires and some of their anatomy not function correctly was certainly not ture. Arlo mostly sure those parts of himself were...all they should be and more! The vampire making an equally abysmal attempt to....explain what his sister had meant. Abigail staring soundlessly towards him for several moments before near bluntly commenting she certainly new vampires were more than capable in that department. Arlo blinking in surprise. Did she? How did she know that? That sudden insistence Seb and Dorian probably did it all the time a surprisingly logical one.
"Oh. I mean, well yeah. Your right actually. I kinda think they do that a lot."
That soft chuckle fell readily from him then. That grin widening upon his features as that laughter came more freely then. He'd been trying to explain that, well, sex, so delicately only to have Abby near bluntly insist she had know this all along. Arlo shaking his head lightly. Seb would have gotten a kick out of that one. That grin resting on his features all the same.
"Well, I'm glad we cleared that up then."
Another soft chuckle hummed within his throat then. Arlo insisting Abby was lucky not to have any siblings. At least she didn't have anyone like his own sister to....well...cast questions on their very mild sex life. Arlo willing enough to direct that conversation back toward that hotel. Abigail insisting she'd eaten at the one in her own country as a treat on several occasions before the idea of room service seemed to delight her all the more. Arlo nodding readily.
"Sure is, we can get anything you want and they bring it right too you on a little tray. We could even eat in bed if you wanted- like rich people."
That grin found his lips again. The idea of living like 'rich people' evidently appealing to him, even if eating breakfast in bed was about the only real idea he could think of exactly of what those wealthy people did. Maybe he'd have to ask Seb and Dorian more about what they did with their time. Arlo shifted softly once more, his lips pressing gently to the side of Abby's cheek and yet, this time, he let that soft trail of kisses continue. Arlo brushing his lips against her jaw and back towards her ear, that soft trail continuing down her her neck. Those touches feather-light and wholly teasing. An almost...predatory part of him a desperately aware of that scent off her, her skin so close to his nose assuring that odour was all the more potent. God but how he teased himself with it! Arlo inclined to wonder what it might be like to let his fangs puncture that skin just a little. Just a taste. There would only be enough venom in that nip to coax those feelings of relaxation rather then unconsciousness right? That sudden taste of that venom filling his mouth readily seeming to jar the vampire back into the present. Arlo sighing softly before pressing that final kiss to Abby's shoulder and merely resting his head softly against it. Those very kisses perhaps a little more....daring then he so normally was. Yet, he so hardly desired to make her uncomfortable in any sense. Abigail surely already feeling more...exposed then normal. Arlo unwilling to press to terribly far until he knew just how she felt about it- even despite how....desirable she was right now. Arlo frowning softly at those other thoughts that turned within his mind now. Maybe....maybe it was ok to ask right? God, maybe it wasn't.
He paused for a moment, his head still resting on her shoulder. That warm simper still on his lips.
"You know how we were talking about...er....sex before. Is that....something you want to...do one day. You know....with me? I don't mean right now or anything and I'm totally fine with waiting, really I am. I just....ya know.....don't want to push you to far or anything yeah?"
Alright, maybe it wasn't the most eloquent sentence and yet he cared about Abby. More than he ever had any other girl. Couples talked right? They talked about this sort of stuff. God, he hoped he hadn't terrified her by asking
