North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

It was endearing, the encouragement that her companion was so quick to offer her, and yet, Audette could not help but giggle at Kit's insistence that she was 'learning something new'. Admittedly, her trip to America was, perhaps, not as 'new' and 'out there' as it sounded. After all, her life majorly consisted of her job, which in itself had remained largely the same - just a different company with a different language that she, perhaps, knew better than she let on. Still, Audette appreciated the effort, all the same, the girl offering her companion a warm simper. "Oui, thank you." She commented back. The last thing she anticipated was the familiar sound of French spoken back to her. Those very syllables brought a gleeful simper to her features - oh, how she missed the sound of her native tongue! A beam crossed her features as she insisted his French was nothing short of magnificent! His accent could use a bit of work but Audette was eager to forgive it all the same. Rather, her attention turned astutely back towards his wound and the care he so required.

Audette pulled back the makeshift bandage, picking up the alcohol between her fingers as she inquired if he was ready for the pain that would surely come from proper cleaning of his wound. His jesting was all too easy to return, that promise of a Pinot Gris apparently enough to assist him in facing what lay ahead of him. Truly, she found it endearing, the man's efforts to make light of the situation, even despite his clenched jaw and visible tenseness. Audette was careful as she poured the alcohol on the wound, the woman watching as it flowed down his arm, bubbling in its efforts to disinfect his wound. That silent groan hardly went unnoticed by the woman, the dancer providing him an almost apologetic look before she pulled the bottle away and reached for the bandage. His apology of the floor, however, was quite visibly waved off. "Do not fret over it. It is easy to clean." She insisted, as she firmly placed the gauze upon his arm. Her every movement was deft and quick, the girl attempting to reduce the hurt she caused him as she wove the bandage around his wound. It took only a minute, at best, before she stepped back to eye her own handiwork with an almost pleased simper. "There! All done. How do you feel?" Audette inquired, glancing at her companion astutely.
