Gideon's assurance that he had said his name correctly seemed to bring a bright grin to Tobias' features. The boy very near beaming at his companion, his head nodding in agreement as the Fae insisted that words and names were difficult painful things. Yes. Yes they were. Tobias was very very sure of this. Yes. It was Gideon's assurance however that he spoke 'funny' because of his accent however that seemed to fascinate the Leopard more as Tobias' head titled sideways, that gesture distinctly animalistic and wholly curious. Accent. This was not a word he knew. This was not a word that existed within his vocabulary and yet he....liked this word. Yes. It had an excellent sound.

"Accccccennnnnnt"

Well. It was close. Tobias preferred to hold those syllables if only because the sounds they made seemed to delight him. The dark gaze of the leopard boy watched as Gideon strode across the street to steal a chair to sit himself on. Tobias' head titled once more. Stealing, Tetra said, was only supposed to happen when nobody was looking. Otherwise the police would come. Would the police come for that chair? Maybe. Maybe. Gideon continued then, from his new seated position, insisting that English was not his first language. Rather, it was Greek. The country he had been born in.

"I know...about other....countries."

Those halting, stuttered words left Tobias' lips with confidence once more, the boy nodding. Tobias, it seemed, certain that he understood exactly what another country was.

"There is.....South and....North and....West and East....and......New Jersey."

Well. None of those were countries. The deviant boy somehow managing to name those points of the compass, along with one very non-country and yet how delighted he seemed all the same as the sun, slowly, began to sink below the horizon. The street lights beginning to come on. Gideon's explanation of exactly what a 'king' was seemed to intrigue Tobias in turn and yet, for now at least, the boy made little effort to comment upon such things as Gideon mused over the notion of his impending death- because of his species. Fae, after all, never lasted very long. Fae got eaten by vampires. It was known. Gideon insisting he would stay cautious.

"Yes....especially when....it is dark,"

Tobias nodded towards the street lights as they turned on. Vampires, after all, came out after dark. Dark was when Gideon would be most in danger. The Fae man drew a blade out of his coat then, Tobias eyeing that shiny steel with clear delight- another grin finding his features as Gideon insisted his job was on the quieter things.

"I like....knives but I am not....allowed to have them. Tetra says."

Tobias frowned at the very memory of that rule. Tetradore was unfair sometimes. Taking his knives from him and yet- it was that very thought of Tetradore that prompted the boy to leap abruptly from the roof and down onto the ground beside Gideon.

"I have to....go home now. Tetra says. It was nice to....meet you- Gideon."

Tobias hand lifted in a loose, obscure sort of wave before that transformation came over him again. The boy turned back into a leopard- only to sprint away and into the darkness.
