North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

It's not the long walk home that will change this heart, but the welcome I receive after the restart.

It had been a long time since the vampire mayor had ever felt nervous. Well, it had been a long time since Dareios had felt any of these measly-type human feelings. But even now, after thousands of speeches and opportunities to be thrust into the spotlight, there was always that rosy glow that came in the aftermath. Dareios likened it to the effects of adrenaline or a blush, perhaps a bit of both. Hormonal and blood-driven physical responses that have long been lost on his undead form, of course. But the faux warmth that washed over him after a speech or a television appearance or what have you, he clung to it with all his might. It was the last little glimpse of something human - something mortal - even if wasn't in the least bit - he could still feel a nostalgic-like connection to.

He had almost successfully removed his bowtie, with the intention of popping a few shirt buttons, too, when his art table acquaintance made his way over to the bar. Those same dark hunter 'danger' senses set in, albeit temporarily, as they stood near to one another, but Dareios would be lying if he said he wasn't intrigued by this young handsome bloke.

A slender dark eyebrow raised after the man ordered his bourbon and turned his attention on him. He offered him a short-lived smile before taking a sip from his wine glass. "Why thank you. Long before I held office, I was an active benefactor of the arts." He explained. "I think Sancrosact would be quite dull without it, wouldn't you agree?"

He placed his wine glass back on the bartop and twirled it aimlessly from the stem. "So you have me at a disadvantage here." Dareios said next. "You know who I am. But I don't know you at all."
