for the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey
her speech is smoother than oil
but in the end she is bitter as wormwood
sharp as a two-edged sword
her feet go down to death
her steps follow the path to Sheol

- PROVERBS 5:3-5;;
Any frustration the young witch might have experienced at this burdensome task only became more of a nuisance at the seductive feminine voice. How Serafina was supposed to find a man she'd never met in a labyrinth of a place she'd never been to was certainly becoming a more real conundrum. A soft sigh left her painted lips, her eyebrows knitting together as her stormy gaze lingered over the female. She suspected that the hotel might have some measure of discreetness to the presence of their patrons and that was surely only going to make the delivery even more of a hindrance. For once, all Serafina wanted was to get paid and every hurdle thrown within her way only made the girl even more tenacious at seeing her task through. The realization that the blonde across from her was of her own species hardly mattered to the witch, simply being a piece of information she filed away for later use if she should so need it. She had no reason to fear her own kind, no reason to oust them and certainly even less reason to care of their existence all together. It was the soft gentle voice that pulled the young witch from her silent observations, one that reminded her of her original goal.

Inquisitively Serafina watched the dynamics between the two individuals, noting with acute perception the interactions between them - the wordless fashion at which the tall domineering woman in front of her had managed to say absolutely nothing at all whilst conveying her wishes at the exact same moment. It was enough to cause her eyebrows to rise ever so slightly, her attention drifting between the two. A part of the girl had to admit that she was impressed by what she saw, even if her facial features failed to show her interest. In truth, she couldn't help but to wish she was able to produce the same sort of reaction from her familiar. Truth be told, however, the female had hardly ever been the prevailing figure in any sort of relationship. For a moment Serafina lingered at the desk, her gaze attentive upon the blonde despite the half-hearted request directed towards her. She offered a small nod before turning to follow her down the hallways and deep into the luxurious establishment. Her stormy eyes drifted over every facet of the corridors she found herself in, merely choosing to observe the world she had been invited into.

The compliment that filled her ears was filled with far too much honey for the witch to simply accept it at face value. Her suspicions, no matter how small, had been raised and yet, her mentor had taught her to be cordial in all aspects of life. "Thank you." Her response was short and simple, her attention fully redirected from her idle eying of the architecture to rest upon the spine of the female in front of her. The threat that follows hardly fails to pass over the young woman's head, bringing a soft puff of air from her nose in the smallest inklings of amusement. "I do believe that is something you should bring up with your guest." She responded quite simply, "I am sure he would take kindly to such..." She paused, choosing her next word carefully, "...imposition upon his affairs." Serafina knew that there was a possibility she was baiting a lioness but the girl never took kindly to intimidation. It brought out the inner rebel within her, half from her sheer youth and another half from her years spent as a mere orphan girl on the streets. If Serafina was incredibly honest, which she surely wasn't, she hadn't the slightest idea of what she even was carrying. Sure - she'd inspected the object but what it did was not something the girl could easily identify. For all she knew it could be to assist within his love making abilities or bring about the end of the world. What mattered, however, was not the object itself but rather the clear indignation that it's simple presence received.
