North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

Her comment in regards to having to 'know someone' earned a momentary simper upon my lips. Maybe you did need to know someone, or maybe you simply had to have a certain....ability for attracting others to you. I let the comment pass easily enough, the slender, pretty young woman evidently having decided to stay now that she had a drink between her hands. Fortunate I suppose, because tonight this bar was seriously lacking on anything female worthy of my attention, save for perhaps this delicate blonde and a rather intriguing looking brunette several tables down. For now though, I was more then willing to spend at least a moment or too with the original object of my attention. After all, I'm not always looking for an easy lay, sometimes, hell, it's just nice to talk and it would seem women are far more willing to talk to me then men- something about me seeming to continually offside them. In fact my last discussion with Azrael had resulted in rather a significant amount of disdain on the other Hunter's part over the fact I had apparently used a three hundred year old dagger as a paper weight. Honestly why that fellow even continues to use swords and arrows when he could shoot just as well with a gun I hardly know, then again, my continued refusal to actually shoot a gun surely dictates my experience and opinion on the matter isn't entirely welcomed.

I settled back easily atop the bar, leaning against the far wall all the same, one leg lifting to loosely bend at the knee, right arm draping causally across it as I moved to loosely swirl the drink with the practised care of someone whom does this far too often. Tonight however, the Ray Bans remained firmly in place, despite the looks I continued to receive from other patrons- I really don't need any incidents here, not when I am given to engage such lovely company. Hon? One blue gold eye lifted slightly in amusement at her word selection. I am entirely assured no one has called me Hon in years. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the sentiment, more so it is simply...rather an intriguing one. I also failed to miss the rolling of her years, lip quirking slightly upward in response to the gesture. Hmm, this was sure to be entertaining, I do so enjoy a challenge.

"Well, you shouldn't underestimate it, you've received at least several complimentary looks since you sat down, that man in the far corner seems particularly taken with you, either that or he's staring at me and....I'm not entirely sure I'm comfortable with that- so lets assume it's you shall we?"

Honestly I rather hoped he was, my ability to recognise other species about as reliable as a GPS in a snowstorm, hell, I'm not even sure what species the woman I am talking to is and the idea of some sort of Were creature eyeing me is at least mildly unsettling. I choose to assume they are all human. My attention moved to return readily to the woman in front of me.

"I'm celebrating the life of what was once a very nice car, what's your drinking excuse, hmm?"

I paused momentarily to wait for some sort of answer, whatever that might be, moving to lift my own drink to my lips as I continued to watch the woman beneath the lenses of the Ray Bans, shame really, that they darkened the world so much and yet by that same token it was close to the only thing that stopped my...lets call it....condition, from working against me.

"Of course, if you'd rather talk to someone else feel free to let me know, I'm sure the middle-aged Were's and centuries old vampire men are far more delightful options for you."

I smirked loosely once more, teasing gently at her again. After all, someone unattractive could have taken the seat beside her and I am entirely sure her night would have been significantly worse. As it is I'm providing a service, or at least a nice view, like I said, I'm not always looking for easy targets, sometimes, I just enjoy the company.
