kissing death and loosing my breath
The young witch was entirely content to ignore the bickering and glances that went out around her, instead focusing the entirety of her attention upon the talisman that dangled around Bethel's neck. It was important in the days to come that it was still in tact, that the magic cast upon it still held as potent as it was the day in which Serafina had stumbled upon the intriguing trinket. However, in her studious glance of the object, the girl hadn't noticed the looks that crossed the features of both men present until Azrael was at her side, his fingers so willingly pressing into the snake's neck in a fashion that brought a symphony of emotions fluttering through the young woman's breast. At first she regarded the gesture with simple surprise - after all, he had shown nothing but complete disdain for anything that was not his species of entirely mortal. This bewilderment quickly gave way to envy that her customer was able to so get a reaction out of him when she had struggled so to even get the same man to dance with her. Perhaps then, it was only natural to her gender that such a resentful emotion so easily gave way to annoyance - his tone somehow managing to get under her usually indifferent demeanor.

"Believe it or not, I do actually know what I am doing. This rock is bewitched. It holds importance for her." There was a sharp tone to her voice, one that certainly had never been then before in all her dealings with the man at her side. Serafina found herself entirely insulted that he thought so little of her that she might be distracted by some fanciful bobble then the life of her own customer. There was a scoff on her lips as she batted his hand away, her touch sharp before the girl turned from him and the vampire in front of her (whom, much to her eternal annoyance she too had noticed the same judgmental look upon his face). Her grey tinged gaze had certainly noticed the gloves upon the sidewalk, just as she too had noticed that they were her most recent purchase but, unlike her companions, she didn't immediately drop everything to see their return to her bag. Instead, Serafina ignored the commotion around their presence whilst she dug though the contents of her messenger bag to pull out a small, softly glowing vial. "Hush, sweetheart." She spoke softly towards the snake, pushing away Bethel's concerns with a flick of her wrist. "Here, drink this. You will shed your skin the next time you shift...but it should be less painful and time consuming then usual." She commented, nodding towards the still in tact amulet. Men - never noticed magic even when it was right in front of their faces.

Her stormy gaze shifted over the scene before her, noting the way in which Azrael held his blade in hand just as she too noticed the fashion in which certain members of the rest of the party at large seemed all too eager to tease him on his overzealous movement to obliterate the piece of clothing. What she hadn't expected was the gloves to be whisked up by the young redhead, clutching them in a fashion as if they were somehow all together precious to her. Serafina couldn't help the way in which she stared at the vampire and the leather gloves in an almost blank manner, blinking several times before registering the question that was directed towards her. "Oh...uh, I bought them from a pawn shop. They're original leather. He was trying to sell them for a pretty penny too but I got quite the deal after telling him that they're --"

Her words died on her lips, at the sound of a large crack in the window behind her, a crack which only seconds later shattered, spilling glass on the party at large. Furniture from the hotel lobby they stood in front of came flying through the large window. A lamp was capitulated at the vampire with Bethel cradled in his arms, a large plush arm chair struggled to make its way out of the window, causing more glass to shatter as it flew at the party at large. A small side table was tossed in the direction of Raven. The light post not far from them cracked, the light shattering as the pole bent to the side. She could hear the screech of the secretary inside as the large desk started to move, but whatever force was pulling it seemed to give up on the heavy piece of furniture, finishing it's temper tantrum to quite firmly pull the poll holding the 'Witchery' sign from the side of the building to capitulate it to a near by pedestrian. Clearly - something, or rather, someone, wanted it's fair share of attention, ensuring that despite it's efforts to rid the auburn haired vampire of her companions, she remained perfectly safe with a pile of miscellaneously thrown objects surrounding her in a rather neat circle.
