Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

i've been chasing angels all my life
now heaven is on fire and the lions at my door

Autumn was such a beautiful season.

Lenore hadn't been in this city long, but already it was apparent that things were going to be different here. Back in LA they didn't really have seasons. Everything seemed to be just the slightest variation of summer; either a little warmer or a little cooler, but nothing more and nothing less. Here the air was crisp and clean, cold enough for Leo to wear her delicate fox fur shrug (click ) that wrapped around her shoulders. The fur itself was pristine and beautiful, much like the rest of her outfit for the day. Lenore wore a simple thigh-high black dress with stockings (click), laced in the very back with a corset-oriented style before layering down into subtle, fashionable ruffles. Even her shoes (click) seemed to match along, black ankle high "granny shoes" that clicked softly against the stone pathways as she walked along the North side of the city. Her hair was pulled into a side bun, sleek and controlled, saved for her bangs which never seemed to cooperate when it came to the cleaner appearance she desired for certain occasions.

Andrew would have approved of today's outfit, she mused to herself with a smile. Her beloved and perhaps only true friend back in LA had a love for fashion like she did, though his lust tended to learn more towards the Gothic inspired. As opposed to her delicate, feminine outfits, he would tromp around in the most expensive stilettos and commando boots that could be made, along with a variety of sleek trench coats and chic long sleeved shirts. The two of them made quite the pair: Lenore with her quiet, Alice-like demeanor and Andrew with his unyielding charisma and charm. He was the next Rick Owens, Leo would swear by it. It was such a shame that he couldn't be here with her today, in this new place with such wonderfully designed buildings and architecture. Lenore would have even bet that it would have been something her sister would have enjoyed, a fashion queen all her own in a much more modern sense, though Lenore did not think of herself as a queen in the slightest. Brooke, however, could probably pull it off.

As memories of her family surfaced in her mind Lenore couldn't help but feel a small sadness tug in her chest. Though she did not entirely fit in with her family's choice of lifestyle she missed them dearly, wishing that the turmoil everyone seemed to be facing at home would end quickly so that she might be able to return sooner rather than later. It was nice of her brother-in-law to send her out of harms way, but still â€" Lenore worried. Everyone at home could take care of themselves well enough, though, she assured herself, and came to a slow stop in front of a peculiar looking building as she slowly resurfaced from her thoughts.

It was called "The Witchery" and looked incredibly intriguing from the outside, though at first glance she'd no idea what the actual building was used for. Her large doe eyes stared up at the name, contemplating quietly on the sidewalk without much notice of anything else going on around her for the time being, though her wanderings had taken her deeper into the city where it might have been a good idea to remain a bit more conscious of her surroundings.

i know they crave the same thing in the end
