Scarlett Trivale

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones

Part of her wished she had been granted the ability to read minds, so as to be able to understand people like Frost better. An invasion of privacy maybe, but sometimes having someone know was better than hiding it away. Secrets tended to fester and rot like open wounds when they were shoved away to darker places of ones mind. This in mind, Scarlett would never exchange her power now that she had it, it had kept her alive and would continue to do so long into the future. The girl was smart enough to tear down the walls around without telepathy. Something was keeping him distant, and it wasn't just a natural anti-social personality. She wasn't deluding herself though, she wasn't going to get anything yet since they were still practically strangers; it was going to take a long time. But Scarlett had nothing but time and an endless amount of energy to put into Frost. When he was ready, and had come to terms with whatever he was hiding, he would tell her, because thats who she was, someone you can tell intimate things to and know they will keep secret and understand, help you through. Canines were loyal companions like that.

It was hard to dislike Scarlett, and she knew it, not in a cocky way, but she knew she had a natural aura that drew people to her. A lot of Weres were extremely dominant or aggressive, but the tiny wolf was laid back. Little things did not get under her skin, and any dominance and aggression shown towards her simply rolled off of her like drops of water. It was one reason that she was worried about pack life though, if she could not respond to dominance properly, how was she ever going to submit. It was reassuring to get answers from Frost, to get a better understanding of how pack life worked so she wouldn't be totally in the dark when she tried to join one. The big question was which pack she would join: with the big cats in the west or with Frost and his little band of females in the East. No matter the choice she made, she knew there would be backlash from the other pack and hard feelings. There was no avoiding the fact that someone was going to dislike her and that made the social wolf upset. Scarlett wanted everyone to get along, to be her friend, but she knew that the world dictated that to not be so, that there would be people who disliked her so reasons, even as small as choosing a pack she thinks will suit her life best.

Scarlett was happy she could help Frost out in anyway possible, even if it was offering the small amount of information she knew about bitten wolves through her own experiences. It wasn't much, but it was more than what she got when she was first bitten. This Calliel had a pack to support her, even if they had no idea how to teach her to control her shifts. Having anyone beside Scarlett would have helped with the fear and uncertainty, instead the small girl was forced to figure it out on her own, face the unknown head on. She was lucky she was able to adapt easily, many bitten Weres that have no one to help them tend to not survive the shifts or can go completely feral. Scarlett listens intently as he speaks, explaining that one of his female pack mates named Calliel had just been bitten and experienced her first change with many difficulties. He proceeds to ask her if she would like to come over on the weekend and speak with the new Were. A soft, kind smile finds its way to Scarlett's lips as she nods. "I can meet her this weekend. Hopefully I can help her get a better understanding of what she's going through," she says, her words not a promise because she knows she cannot offer him a promise that this will work, but there is an honesty that she will do everything she can do and offer answers to everything the girl may have questions about.

There is an unseen excitement in Scarlett as they reached the park. She had no idea what Frost has in mind but she enjoyed sharing and having others take an interest in her, especially when the interest was not cynical and had no malicious intent. She cannot however hide her pure shock when the small man that had once stood before her was replaced with one of the biggest horses she had ever seen. He was definitely intimidating, to the point that she almost took a step back away from him, but she held her ground because she knew he would not hurt her. He was definitely a powerful alpha, able to protect those who made up his little family; one kick could no doubt decapitate most foes. "Indeed," he says simply through the mind like that bound all Weres. Her face flushed a little slightly in embarrassment at the comment that had slipped from her lips. 'Stupid,' she mentally reprimanded herself.

When she is ready, Frost moves away from her and begins to adjust his position until he seems satisfied with something. The force of the wind she had summoned had chilled the air. It made her shiver, her jacket not suited for cold temperatures like this. A little more cloud cover perhaps, I need it to be....colder. he said, his trot increasing as she nods to him. With a flick of her wrist, dark clouds moved overhead causing the temperature to drop even further; if it were raining, it would now be snowing. Emerald eyes watch in intrigue as he continues to trot, widening in surprise as ice begins to crystallize the earth beneath his hooves. A frozen trail followed him as he moved, creating a ring around her. As he stops, she stares at him with curiosity, wondering just what else he was capable of doing. The large stallion stares at the sky for a moment before his attention is turned to the girl he dwarfs, his voice reaching out to offer her an explanation.

'Manipulation of body temperature?' She murmurs within her mind, totally forgetting that he could probably hear her in these moments. It was an impressive power to say the least, and it showed on her face as she blinked at him. A shy smile danced across her face momentarily at the thought that her power was compatible with his, what a dynamic duo they could make. Scarlett is already cold, having shoved her hands back into her pocket to keep them warm as the storm raged on, but a sudden chill tracing up her spin has her quite visibly shivering. And then just as suddenly, a warmth runs over her body, forcing her cheeks to flush. She looks at him, knowing he was behind the sudden changes in body temperature she was feeling. He was showing her what he could do, but in an innocent way, not wanting to harm or scare her. His power was already deadly, and it seemed she only amplified its capabilities. He was far more intriguing than she had first thought, and it only helped to feed her desire to know more about him.

"Your power is impressive," she says honestly, a smile alighting her face as she moved a little closer to the stallion, not fearing him in the slightest. "I see where you got your name," Scarlett chuckles, finding amusement at how well his nickname suited him far beyond his unique hair and cold personality traits. Her interest immediately perks when he offers the idea of a race. "I'm listening," She hummed, looking up to Frost with an eager excitement. The small wolf was extremely competitive and loved games and competitions of all types.
