The memory of the young woman, covered and caked within her own blood as it left her petite figure was forever imprinted within his mind, lingering upon the forefront of his brain every time he caught a glimpse of any red hue. He watched on with mock apathy, thankful, for once for the feline form that hid the emotions that raged within his chest. He felt sorry for helping to bring about her demise. He regretted ever speaking a single word to her, especially knowing now what was to become of it. He knew this was a lesson, one Risque was succeeding in burring within him. Never again would he get close to anyone, never again would he let his guard drop. He was alone within this world, alone because of her. To see her linger so very near to the boundary of life and death was one thing, but to have his emerald gaze fall upon his...no, their mistress as she bared her fangs to bite her own flesh, as she performed this god forsaken ritual to turn the female he'd momentarily found himself fond of....it was her overwhelming power alone that had left the were-panther still and when she finally released her grasp upon him, it was already too late. It had already been done. Even now, as he crept through umbrage, he was reminded of the horrific scene that he had unwillingly took part within. What she must think of him now.

Such concerns hardly weighed long upon the panther, however, his fears already confirmed from the scream that was torn from her ruby lips. Innately he knew it was because of him and not the two coated fellows that stood before them. She was too young, too freshly turned to accurately observe the danger that these beings were to her. Her memories still too vibrant. His muscles tightened in only the smallest of displays of his discontent. Regardless of his feelings for the girl, regardless of his guilt and her terror, Tetradore was unwilling and entirely unable to give her up to what would surely have been a mercy killing. His emerald gaze focused upon the individual closest to him, his jaws parting to bear his sharp incisors. A low growl reverberated within his throat but he does not launch forward in an attack, at least, not yet. It is only when the more confident one makes a move does Tetradore dare to leave his charge, his claws were outstretched, his jaws open and for once, somewhere within his body that familiar chemical reaction begin to occur, shifting that innocent saliva to a more noxious liquid. For a moment, Tetradore was predisposed, his body slamming into the older of the two, his claws slashing at cloth and armor. For a moment he was dedicated to the task at hand before the sound of a thrown punch colliding into flesh caught his sensitive senses. He leapt away in one fluid motion, pausing only to reassess the situation at hand.

The older dark hunter was ignored entirely, their fought immediately forgotten by the backward stumbling vampire and the quickly advancing, bladed advisory. He launched forward, his lanky ebony figure quickly covering the distance between them before he threw his weight upon his hind legs, launching himself within the air with front paws outstretched. His pounce upon the dark hunter drove the man forward and down, Tetradore's weight clearly taking the fellow by surprise. He stumbled forward, almost immediately succumbing to the weight of his figure. The male hardly hesitated, his jaws immediately closing around the man's shoulder if only to deliver the venom he was so capable of. He hardly had more then a second, however, before an arrow was shot within their direction and immediately the panther abandoned his prey. The elder of the two seemed to find it within him to pick up the abandoned crossbow, deciding to take out the pair from a distance rather then engage once again in close combat and frankly, Tetradore was glad. Carefully and cautiously he meandered his figure between Isolt and the two, his flesh pressing against her if only to inform the girl of their immediate need to leave. Hopefully, she'd either get the message, or flee in fear of him as well. Frankly, at the moment, he cared very little which it was as long as he brought her to safety.
