I'm more alive than I've ever been

The silence that unfurls its petals in the stead of her speech, marked by brevity though it may have been, could have lasted a moment or a millennia for the anticipatory chill that skates the ivory slope of Isolt's spine. It was, for now, all that she had planned to offer to her compatriots; the long and the short, the entirety of her proposal for them to take, to leave, or to ponder. And ponder they shall, she presumes, as vampires so far her elder were so oft wont to do especially upon the notion of aligning themselves to a newly-founded coven.

Ceara's amiable response is hardly expected, though Isolt finds herself elated in no small measure for the sole reason that she knows of the woman's poise and the wealth of knowledge that she, as all present, would bring to this proverbial table. More expected, though, are Sebastian's inquiries into the level of commitment expected of him and the others present. Their's was a relatively new relationship, though even from the first time that he had attempted to seduce her on that fateful eve in the park, Isolt had suspected that commitment was hardly a favored phrase in Sebastian's repertoire. Though before Isolt might proffer up her own attempts to quail the veiled insecurities he possessed, Ceara amends her previous statement with one that proves slightly more... controversial than her earlier agreement. The declaration of Ceara's aversion to Anna-Marie's presence, though startling merely for the bold nature in which it is expressed, is not altogether unexpected by virtue of the glances being given the child vampire by her elders since the dawn of this meeting.

And, it appears, this statement alone succeeds in igniting the waiting tinder that lay beneath the veil of diplomacy and comraderie of their meeting. The redheaded woman finds some measure of surprise that the majority of her chosen fellows seem to possess quite vehement, albeit differing, opinions on the matter of the youthful-looking vampire's presence within their ranks. Anna-Marie's own declaration that she would not be excluded is met with a level, unyielding stare from Isolt herself, the Supreme finding herself miraculously undaunted by the ill-intent and vigor of the girl's words. "Enough," she proclaims evenly, though even this single word leaves no space for pondering or consideration of its authority, for it is absolute. She could not very well, as intended leader of Elysium, let her first act be to ban one of their own from the ranks of their coven. It was contradictory to her intent, her words, and her character. Though too did Isolt fully intend to inquire after the reasoning of Ceara's aversion and Crishlyn's adamancy, for she was just as reluctant to allow any of her compatriots to come to harm for the sake of the peculiar girl. "I will discuss this separately with each of you, including Anna-Marie." With this was the matter effectively laid to rest, at least for the moment, as the fire-crowned woman then turns her attentions to Sebastian to address the far less heated matter he had sought to broach. "I do not intend to 'keep' anyone against their will or better judgement, Sebastian, and as such you are free to leave if that is your wish. I would, however, kindly request the courtesy of a discussion and, perhaps, resolution before you make your decision," she pauses a few short moments in order to offer him a kindly simper. "As for your role, it is for you to choose. You may operate in whatever role you feel would serve this coven and its members best, though with your... charisma, might I suggest that you consider acting as somewhat of a diplomat of sorts. I believe it would suit you perfectly."

It is at that moment that, blessedly, the donors for which Ceara had called make their arrival. A small feast would prove quite the catalyst for this meeting of nightwalking hunters, and Isolt fully intended to partake despite her aversion to feeding in a public setting. "Now, let's eat." And with that, they descend.
