I've forgotten how it felt before...

Now that I had gotten sufficient rest and my business had begun to pick up off the ground I was ready. Ready to start the hunt. I remember the way the old man at the airport had joyfully told me how a man had passed through from Sacrosanct soon before I had. The way his wrinkled face and scrunched up as he tried to recall what he looked like and failed, only that the name struck him as familiar when he had seen my own passport. Sacrosanct - it was the common theme. It was the city that housed the daughter of my parents and, if I was to go by clues, the murderer of them as well. Why the murderer had went all the way to Scotland to take care of my parents remains to be seen, but I would be ruthless in finding them. That much I assured myself as I drew my black hair back from my face with a ponytail.

I had become a little leaner since my time here before. A little more polished. But today I reverted back to my natural style which mean I did a little less care taking on myself. My hair was not sleek as I had been lately accustomed to doing but now wavy and frizzy, wild as it had always been. There were faint dark spots beneath my eyes as testament to my nighttime torture of sleep and the nightmares with it. I looked, with my fiery moss green eyes, as if I was on a mission.

And boy was I.

Night had come early as it was wont to do in winter and the streets were cold but still filled with people. A Saturday night, the perfect night to find others. So I went first to the Witchery, careful to keep my eye out for any Dark Hunters running around. I had dressed in sleek black jeggings, a dark blue top that hugged me nicely with a V-cut, and when I was on the streets, a jet black peacoat to go over it. Not to mention my ankle-topped black boots. I was classy enough to fit in but not extreme enough to be taken notice of. I asked around if anyone knew of anyone else that might be able to help me figure this out.

Many of them shied away from my questioning, no doubt worrying about drawing the scrutiny of Dark Hunters, and I grew angrier as the night went. When I finally cornered a sass-mouthed young witch I was forced to flash my own powers to get her talking. I... wasn't familiar with this sort of behavior. Bullying and grand standing. It came to me oddly but I felt accomplished as I headed towards the VooDoo room with the knowledge of finding one man. A warlock named Avar.

When I find him I am rather taken aback. I expected an older man with a harder look but this fellow was young, around my age, with a rather honest looking face. He was thin and tall with an olive complexion quite at odds with my own pale one. I frown for a second but then I step up to the table he sits at, placing my fingertips on his table and looking down at him. "Are you Avar?" My voice is musical and lilting but there is a hard edge to it now after a night of searching.
