I'm not much for sympathy. If she were to tell me about her past, about what she did to her family, I'd probably laugh and tell her to move on. They're in a better place now. I don't believe in apologizing for what we are. I'm a vampire and I'm damn proud of it. Now I haven't always been like this. When I first got turned, I wanted to let myself die. My brother actually forced me to drink blood so that I'd finish the turn. I refused. I hated what I was and I didn't want to live with myself this way but many years have passed between then and now. I'll eat whenever I damn well please now and I don't have a lick of pity.

She offers a bit of advice on the hunters in the area. I smirk.

"Depends on the vampire."

I grin, showing my pearly whites for a minute before I try to sober up. When I mention the other club Syn, her features change drastically and it's no hidden fact that she despises Syn and everything they stand for. She doesn't seem to like Risque very much so I guess I'll have to stay as neutral as I can since I don't have anything against her. Instead I offer a quick solution by nodding.

"Understood."

I smile, my peace offering. I don't want to keep the subject going if she's going to get all fired up. I can see she's trying to make a point with me and I'm trying to let her know that I've got the point. Syn and Voodoo don't get along. Got it. She goes on to let me know what she expects of her workers as far as dress code. I nod again to let her know I'm listening.

"Drinks shouldn't be hard. I've traveled and I've tasted."

She seems to really be wanting a fresh face behind the counter and hey, it might be a good fit, or at least something for me to do on nights that I get bored. I watch with interest as she pushes the glass aside, apparently having lost interest. She starts talking about the rest of the city. She mentions some places I've never been, something about cliff jumping, and then she jumps to stuff like threaters and fashion shows. Really, I couldn't care less for those last two but the models of the shows are easy enough to get to know. I tilt my head, curious.

"Have you ever cliff jumped?"

You would think as a vampire, the answer would be easy since nothing can harm us from doing that but you would be surprised how many of our kind still live like a human when it comes to things that used to be life threatening. It looks like Ceara is in desperate need of an outside life. I give her a glittering look full of promise and mischief.

"You should come out hunting with me sometime. I promise it'll be fun."
