Power: Fear Inducement. The user can evoke and increase fear and horror in others causing the target’s brain to release fear-inducing chemicals.. The victim’s perception may be altered, causing them see their environment as ominous and the user as dark and foreboding, or even seen as a monster. Powers' Weakness: Someone with a healthy mind (no mental illnesses for example) could easily face him and get free from it. Martial Status: Single, widower. Wife (Jenny Valentin) refused to turn with him. Siblings: A half brother named Adrian Bauer. During the Civil War, they fought on opposite sides (Aidan was Confederate and Adrian Union). They became known as "The Warring Brothers". (see below for more in his History) Children: Two stillborn daughters, Elizabeth and Kari Valentin. His wife decided it wasn't meant to be and didn't want to try any more, and for fear it might take her life if they tried a third time. Aidan secretly resented her afterwards since he wanted children. Tattoos / Piercings / Scars: No tattoos, no piercings, many small scars from childhood injuries (falls, scraps). His right knuckles are scarred up from fights. He has the scar of where he was bitten on his left shoulder, close to his neck (he was bitten from behind). Aidan has a bullet wound on his left side, under his ribs. He also has a cut/stab-like wound on the palm (and inside his fingers, as if he grabbed the knife or sword) of his right hand. Both are rumored to be from the Civil War. Accent: Southern American (Tennessean-sounding) Hobbies: Reading, because books never change and when you've got all the time in the world, what else is there to do? He also enjoys guns (sharpshooting), horse back riding, video games, sleeping, poker (Texas Hold 'Em) and finding a nice meal (we all know what that means). Drinking and doing drugs counts as a hobby to him, too. Bad Habits: Drinking, smoking and most recently prescription pain killers, foul language, disrespectful (even towards woman and authority such as high ranked Coven vampires), violent (likes to fight). He's gone through periods of being sympathetic towards humans and all other humanoids, but as of late, he's more loving the predator lifestyle. Dislikes: Children (because he never got to have his own family), usually other vampires, shifters / werewolves, very religious people, Hunters .. It wouldn't be too out of the ball park to say he hates everyone and everything; expect Mortimer.. Likes: Photography (because a picture lasts forever and never changes), his bad habits, cold weather, being by himself, playing cards, music. Personality / Notes about Aidan: Tough, aggressive, uncooperative, hard to warm up to, loyal. Once someone gets past his walls, Aidan is a friend for life. He generally dislikes his own kind more than anything else (due to the fact he was turned sort of against his will). He is a jealous person with an addictive personality. He tends to be emotional detached and fears romantic relationships (he loves his wife, even after her death). He's sarcastic and can easily be seen by others as an angry and cold-hearted individual. Important People: Mortimer Draven, the only person he's known for a long period of time that hasn't betrayed him or hurt him. He considers Mort his best friend, even if he never admits it or shows it. Mort is like a brother and a father figure to Aidan. Early Life - Young Adult: Grew up in a small part of the American Southeast. Father was a farmer. Not much is known about this time in Aidan's life. Adulthood : He met Jenny at a Fair and instantly fell for her. Within a year they were married and she was already pregnant, against her father's wishes. Aidan himself decided to follow in his father's footsteps and become a farmer, though he greatly disliked it. He had a few slaves, a gift from Jenny's father (a rich plantation owner). The marriage was good, but after the loss of their first and then second daughter, Aidan and Jen started to grow apart. The Civil War: Aidan joined in the Civil War many years later, perhaps to spite his wife or maybe in an attempt to die. His brother and him were already estranged and greatly hated one another and the two would often seek one another out in battles to kill the other. Adrian shot Aidan in the stomach (under the rib), and when he went to finish him off, Aidan pulled out his knife, stabbing his brother and slowly killing him. His famous last words that he whispered to his brother were "Now we are truly blood brothers." Aidan would later be shot again and stabbed in the Civil War until it finally ended. He found himself on the losing side and it was bitter for him. The Turning: Out of money, in a marriage that was failing, Aidan took to drinking. He as notorious for becoming violent while drinking, even towards his wife.It's said Aidan was drinking at a Saloon when a prostitute (who was a vampire) bit and fed off of Aidan, killing him. When he awoke, she told him how he could live forever, him and his wife (the vampire had already given him her blood, thus .. in essence, giving Aidan no choice in turning). Jenny, however, did have the choice and didn't want to turn and thought him a monster. What happened after that is unknown. Present: For a time, Aidan was a gunslinger, an Outlaw with other vampires. As time past and the Wild West slowly died, he tried to become one with society and attempted a normal life as a banker (which failed). He then created his own small Coven, but it quickly fell apart (mainly due to his negligence and other vampires enticing away his followers). He even had a human slave for awhile, and was beginning to fall for her. But he set her free, for his and her own protection. Since then, Aidan has been a wanderer. Going from town to town. Taking small jobs and staying under the radar. Who he was before being turned into a vampire is very vague and largely unknown. He keeps that a secret. Aidan murdered someone and it has haunted him for all these years, causing him to drown the pain with anything.
